Inthematterofspiritualhealingletmemakemyselfcleartoyouatthe
beginningofthissection.Spiritual
healingrecognizesGodasAllandEverythingandputsthetruth into
practice,usingeverything,-buteverything
onlywhenidealized.Spiritualhealingdoesincludematerialmeans,but
materialmeansonlyasspiritual
manifestation.Iamwellawarethatspiritualtheoristsdifferwithmein
this:theysaythatdependingupon
materialmeanslimitsmythoughtofGod.Therearetwomistakesinthis
statement.First,spiritualhealingdoes
notdependuponmaterialmeansbutitdoesusethemandusethemonly
whenidealized.Second,Ianswerthat
thosewhocriticizelimittheirthought,-fortheyfirstinsistthatthe
patientacceptthetruththatGodisAlland
GoodandsecondlyinsistthatheorshemustnotusethetruththatGod
isAllbecausesomeofGod's
manifestationsarenotgood.
HavingreadthethreechaptersofthesectionentitledTheSpiritof
Matter,younowknowthatdenyingthatso-
calledmatterisamanifestationofGodisthesameasdenyingthat
infinityofspace,infiniteattractiveenergyand
infiniteactivityareofGod.Inthosethreechaptersyoulearnedthat
densityofmatterisbutGod'sinfinitespace,
thatsolidityofmatterisbutGod'sinfiniteattractiveenergy,andthat
matterisbutethericaliveness,infinite
energyeverpresent.
I,then,inSpiritualHealing,adhereinpracticetothetruththatGod
isAllandusenotonlyGod'sSpiritualIdeal
butGod'sSpiritualManifestationaswell-thatis,GodasAlland
Everything!
Takefirstacaseofhealingthathastodowiththatwhichismost
difficulttohandle-thechangingofbone
structure.WhenIwasthreeyears old myleftfootandanklewerecrushed
betweentherollersofaone-horse
sugarmill.Thefootandtheleg-halfwaytotheknee-weresobadly
injuredthat,whentherollerswerereversed,

Ofwhatsubstanceisit?Allscientistsagreethatitisaninfinitely
smallethericwhirlofenergy-awhirlinghole
inspace!
Whatthenisdensity?Densityisthespiritofmatter-theinfinite
ethericenergy-spaceofGod.Itisthatinwhich
allthingsliveandmoveandhavetheirbeing.Itexistsbetweenthe
infinitelysmallwhirlingelectronsbuta
billionthofaninchfromoneanother;itexistsbetweenwhirlingstars
andinfinitelylargesunsthousandsof
millionsofmillionsofmilesapart.
Thereisnodensityofmattertohinderthemanifestationofyourideals
anddesires.Sinceyou,youridealsand
desiresareofGod,andsincethecellsofyourbodyandalsothe
substanceofallothermaterialactualitiesarebut
theinfiniteenergy-spaceofGod,certainlyyouridealscomposedofthis
substance-theonlysubstancethatexists
-canandwillanddocometrue.Infact,thisethericenergy-space
substance,whichmakesmatterseemtobe
dense,istheverysubstancethatgivesbodiestoyouridealsandthus
makesthemmanifestinmaterialactuality.

Anotherstoneinthepathoffaithandtheattainmentofyouridealsand
desiresistheideathatmatterissolid.As
densitywasfoundtobebutinfiniteenergyspace-thespiritual
substanceinwhichidealsandallthingsexistwhat
willsolidity turn outtobewhenyoucometoknowitasitis?
Ironseemstobeasolidsubstanceandveryhard.Doesitshardness
resideinmatterorisitduetothespiritor
energyofmatter?Themoleculesandatomsofironarenoharderormore
solidthanthemoleculesandatomsof
butter.Yet,itisdifficulttodriveanail into apieceofironand
easytodriveone into achunkofbutter.That
whichmakesitdifficulttodriveanail into ironisthedegreeof
attractiveforceexistingbetweentheparticles.It
isthisforcethatholdsmoleculesandtheirrespectiveatomstoeach
other.Whenyoudriveanail into iron,what
youovercomeistheattractiveforcethattriestopreventthemolecules
beingpushedapart.Itiseasytoforce
apartthemoleculesofbuttertomakespaceforanail.Inthiscase
also,whatyouovercomeistheattractiveforce
thatholdstogetherthemoleculesandatomsofbutter.

injuryanddelaycouldhavebeen

Millionsofothersthoughtofthenewroutes,butcertainlyveryfew
consciouslyidealizedthemselvestraveling
onthem.YeteveryindividualinNewYorkcouldhavedoneitinfive
minutesiftheyhadonlybeeninthehabit
ofIdealizingtheProcessofDoingThings.Othershadideasofthenew
route,ofwheretheywantedtogo,andof
