Để trả lời cho câu hỏi: How often ? Bao lâu một lần ? Ta dùng:

a Các trạng từ tần suất: always, usually, often, sometimes, never là các trạng từ chỉ tần suất dùng để chỉ mức độ xảy ra của hành động

Eg: He sometimes goes to the movies

She always does her homework

11 Some, a few, a little, a lot of : Indefinite quantifiers.

a.Some: Dùng với cả danh từ đếm được và không đếm được Danh từ đếm được

12 Imperative: Mệnh lệnh.

Thể mệnh lệnh dùng để yêu cầu sai khiến ai làm gì Trong câu mệnh lệnh, chúng ta không dùng chủ ngữ vì chủ ngữ được hiểu ngầm Vì vậy câu mệnh lệnh được bắt đầu bằng một động từ nguyên không có “to”

Eg: Go to the blackboard, please (Hãy đi lên bảng)

Turn the lights off, please (Hãy tắt đèn đi)Chúng ta thêm “Don’t” trước động từ khi muốn diễn tả mệnh lệnh ở thể phủ định

Eg: Don’t pick flowers (Đừng hái hoa)

Don’t waste water (Đừng lãng phí nước)

13 Modal verbs: Động từ khuyết thiếu: Should and shouldn’t.

S + should + Verb You should get up early

S + shouldn’t + Verb You shouldn’t throw trash in the street

14 Dimensions: kích, cỡ

a How long is the Great Wall of China ? It is over 6.000 kilometers long.

b How high is it ? It is between 4 and 12 meters high

c How thick is it ? It is over 9 meters thick.
