UNIT 10: WHERE WERE YOU YESTERDAY? LESSON (4 - 6)

A AIMS

- Ss will be able to master how to pronoun the sounds /ed/ with /d/, /id/; /t/; practice their sounds in with sentences

- Ss will be able to chant together

- Develop Ss listening, speaking and chanting skills * Language focus:

I WARM - UP

Recite the chant: What did he yesterday? - Write some verbs -> verbs (past)

II NEW LESSON 1 Read and complete

- Have pupils open their books at Page 69 - Elicit the character at part

- Tell pupils that they are going to read the passage to get the information

- Pupils read the passage individually

- Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary

- Ask sts get information from the passage to fill in the gaps to complete the sentences given

-Sts the task in groups of - Get sts’ answer

- Give feedback * Answer key:

1 Linda watered the flowers in the garden yesterday morning She played chess with her father yesterday afternoon

- Have pupils answer the following questions: Where were you yesterday?

- Give feedback and contribute

- Ask sts write what they say in answering the questions above - Pupils write individually

- Monitor the activity, and offer help when necessary

- Call on some pupils to write on the board and other pupils write in the notebooks in individuals

- Call some pupils read aloud their work in front of the class
