Ss: Hello, Mr Cuong My name’s Bill -Play game: chain game Activity 2: -Content : Listen and tick - Procedure: + Show Ss how to carry out the task & tick the correct picture + Elicit the names of the characters + Have Ss repeat them + Play the tape times for Ss to listen Do the task & check their answers + Get Ss to swap & check their answers before checking as a class Activity 3: -Content 5: Look, complete and read - Procedure: + Have Ss read the text in silence + Check comprehension & give feedback + Elicit the words filling the gaps + Allow Ss time to the task + Get Ss to swap & check their answers before writing the correct answers on the board for Ss to copy down + Call a few pairs to read aloud Activity 4: -Content 6: Let’s play - Procedure: + Tell pupils that they are going to listen for the names of the six pupils and slap the correct flash cards / words as quickly as possible + Put the flash cards or write the words of the six pupils on the board + Call two or three pupils to the front of the class Ask them to stand at a certain distance from the board + Invite one pupil to the front of the class and ask What's your name? The pupil answers the question with one of the names on the board (e.g My name's Bill.)
