LESSON I

OBJECTIVES

1 Knowledge: After the lesson students can ask and answer questions about where someone’s plan to go

*Language focus

- Sentence Patterns: Where are you going to go this summer? I’m going to…… - Vocabulary: summer

2 Skills: - Develope Ss listening, reading, writing and speaking skill.

3 Attitude: - Help Ss to be more confident to communicate in English and know how to say name of the animals

1 Teacher’s: Lesson plan, books, computer, speakers, softbook and projector. 2 Students’: Books, notebooks, workbooks.

+ Work individually, in pairs/ groups + Discussion

- Greetings: T – Ss greet each other

- Checking attendance: Who’s absent today? Ss: Answer

Warm up: (5’) - Greeting

- Sing a song 3 New lesson:

* Set the scene:

- T uses the pictures of the dialogue to lead Ss in the conversation

- Ask students to look at the pictures in the book and check comprehension by eliciting the answers for these questions

How many pictures are there? Who are they?

Where are they?

What are they talking about?

- Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen and follow in their books

- Play the recording again for Ss repeat the dialogue several times.( line by line in the bubbles)

- Point to the picture for Ss to read the dialogue again

- Have Ss to find out the new structure Act Point and say.(15’)

- T writes the word on the board - Do the same way with other words Check vocabs: Slap the board - T asks Ss to copy down

- Do the same with the two, three and four syllable words

- Ask ss to find some other words with the first stress syllable

-Tell Ps that they are going to listen and write the reasons Give a few seconds for Ps to look at the pictures and identify the information given + While- listening

-Play the recording three times for Ps to listen, the task and check their answers

-Get Ps to swap and check their answers before checking as class + Post- listening

- Ask ss to answer some questions to check their comprehension about the task

Activity 3: Write about the plan for your summer holiday (10’)

+Pre- writing

- Tell the class that they are going to write about the animals

- Give them time to the task +While- writing

- Set a time limit for them to the task independently Monitor the activity and offer help, if necessary - Remind them to write the first letter of each sentence and the name in capital letters, and put commas and full stops at the approciate places +Post- writing

- Get them to swap and read their writing in pairs before inviting two or three pupils to read their answers aloud
