Period 86 Week 22 UNIT Billy’s teddy! (lesson 4) Phonics I Objective: * By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: - First letter sounds v/w/x/y/z, - Speaking and listening skills II Language content: Vocabulary: Van, Window, Box, Yo-yo, Zebra ADDITIONAL VOCABULARY: Structure: III Method of teaching Focus: Speaking – Writing IV Teaching aid - Extra Practical Classroom Activities: Sounds Fun Pair Activity - Colour pencils for each child - Phonics cards 22-26 V Procedure Warm up: Show the phonics cards and elicit the words again Ask individual children to come to the front and write the first letters on the board, in both upper- and lowercase Ask the children to trace the letters in the air and say the sounds as they so Development: Exercise 1: Children exercise They colour the correct picture Then drill the correct sounds with the class Exercise 2: Children the exercise and write the first letters Put the children in pairs and ask them to point and answer about the pictures, What’s this?
