ĐỀ TÀI: "Bồi dưỡng học sinh giỏi Tiếng Anh phần viết luận." TÓM TẮT SÁNG KIẾN Viết luận dạng tập cố định đề thi học sinh giỏi cấp Loại tập đòi hỏi học sinh phải có vốn từ phong phú, ngữ pháp chắn, suy nghĩ lô-gic, lập luận chặt chẽ đặc biệt cần phân biệt dạng luận khác khau để lựa chọn xác cách viết phát huy kiến thức tính sáng tạo Để đạt điều học sinh làm tốt, điều kiện đặt giáo viên bồi dưỡng học sinh giỏi cần bước hướng dẫn, rèn luyện em để có viết luận hồn thiện thời gian xây dựng kế hoạch bồi dưỡng học sinh giỏi học sinh THCS từ lớp sách giáo khoa có cách dạng viết luận, lớp suốt trình bồi dưỡng đội tuyển Khi trình bày sáng kiến muốn làm rõ vấn đề sau: - Các dạng luận thường lựa chọn đề thi học sinh giỏi cấp - Làm rõ dạng luận: bố cục, cách lập dàn bài, xác định hướng viết, triển khai dàn thành viết cụ thể - Cách xác định yêu cầu đề từ xác định dạng luận viết luận văn phong - Trình tự bước để viết kiểu luận - Cách lựa chọn ý trọng tâm cần trình bày, vốn từ ngữ pháp đảm bảo làm rõ nội dung vấn đề, ngơn từ phong phú, cấu trúc ngữ pháp xác - Định hướng, rèn luyện học sinh cách tư lối viết văn tiếng Anh đạt kết cao Khi áp dụng sáng kiến trình bồi dưỡng học sinh phân biệt dạng viết luận, phân tích dạng đề có lối viết xác với yêu cầu Tuy nhiên bồi dưỡng học sinh giỏi cần thời gian phụ thuộc vào lực học sinh Để sáng kiến hoàn thiện cần đúc rút kinh nghiệm thực tế, bổ sung dạng đề luận mới, vấn đề mang tính thời cách viết sáng tạo, tránh rập khn máy móc MƠ TẢ SÁNG KIẾN HỒN CẢNH NẢY SINH SÁNG KIẾN Trong trình dạy học bồi dưỡng học sinh giỏi, nhận thấy: Kĩ viết kĩ khó kĩ Nó địi hỏi học sinh phải có vốn từ vựng, hiểu cấu trúc ngữ pháp, ý tưởng để lập dàn ý viết Đặc biệt em phải nắm kiểu luận cần viết Kĩ viết giúp cho học sinh tái lại học, giúp em thực hành sử dụng ngôn ngữ cách hiệu đồng thời luyện chữ viết cho em Kĩ viết phát huy khả sáng tạo học sinh, phản ánh kết q trình nghe, nói, đọc, ngữ pháp, từ vựng học sinh, thể mặt mạnh, mặt yếu, đồng thời giúp cho giáo viên dễ dàng nhận thấy lỗi sai học sinh nói Hoạt động viết khâu quan trọng trình dạy học Tiếng Anh Đặc biệt đối tượng học sinh giỏi, cấp thi em thường xuyên gặp phải viết luận Nhiều em lúng túng, lẫn lộn khơng biết phải viết kiểu gì, trình bày luận sao, dùng cấu trúc câu cho hợp lí Vì tơi mạnh dạn nghiên cứu vấn đề "Bồi dưỡng học sinh giỏi Tiếng Anh phần viết luận." để giúp em nắm cách viết số dạng luận Từ nâng cao chất lượng học sinh giỏi môn Tiếng Anh lớp CƠ SỞ LÍ LUẬN CỦA VẤN ĐỀ Ngay từ bắt đầu học tiếng Anh, em học sinh tiếp xúc với bốn kỹ ngơn ngữ là: nghe, nói, đọc, viết Đây kỹ quan trọng người thầy việc truyền thụ kiến thức cho học sinh Trong viết kỹ khó cho người học, đòi hỏi người dạy phải nắm phương pháp giảng dạy hiệu thực tốt nguyên lý “Học đôi với hành” Xuất phát từ quan điểm "lấy người học làm trung tâm’’, phương pháp dạy học có thay đổi Người dạy khơng phải người nắm giữ kiến thức truyền đạt kiến thức mà người hướng dẫn, người hỗ trợ, người cố vấn, người kiểm tra Người học khơng cịn người thụ động tiếp thu kiến thức mà trung tâm trình dạy học, chủ động sáng tạo trình học tập nhằm đạt kết cao học tập biết vận dụng vào thực tế sống Dạy ngoại ngữ nói chung, dạy tiếng Anh nói riêng việc đổi phương pháp dạy học quan trọng Ngoài việc nắm vững kiến thức ngôn ngữ, thực tốt kĩ nghe, nói, đọc kỹ viết đóng vai trị quan trọng khơng Dạy viết nội dung thực sự kết hợp tinh tế việc giảng dạy kỹ ngôn ngữ khác Từ luận điểm việc áp dụng phương pháp dạy viết để giúp học sinh thực viết luận Tiếng Anh tốt, nghĩa đảm bảo xác yêu cầu viết, ngữ pháp, tính sáng tạo viết quan trọng THỰC TRẠNG CỦA VẤN ĐỀ Trong giảng dạy nhận thấy, giao nhiệm vụ cho học sinh thực viết học sinh lúng túng lựa chọn ý quan trọng, phải đưa ý lên viết trước Quá trình viết em dừng lại việc làm theo số viết mẫu, trả lời câu hỏi phần hướng dẫn trước viết mà chưa biết hành văn theo quan điểm cá nhân Đặc biệt bồi dưỡng học sinh giỏi, em học sinh phải hồn thành viết luận phần cố định đề thi, đề đưa nhận định, viết luận hoàn toàn phụ thuộc vào cách chọn ý lập luận học sinh Chính nhiều em lúng túng, lẫn lộn khơng biết phải viết kiểu gì, trình bày luận sao, dùng cấu trúc câu cho hợp lí Đây tập thường gây khó khăn cho học sinh không đánh giá khả thông thạo ngôn ngữ mà kiểm tra kiến thức, khả suy luận, diễn giải vấn đề cách logic học sinh Đây ví dụ để đánh giá khả viết luận học sinh đội tuyển gồm 10 học sinh Topic: Cell phones should be allowed in school? I believe they should not just be permitted to use cell phones; they should be required to use them Cell phones don’t just allow students to stay connected with family and friends, they are also an excellent learning resource, and they encourage the responsible use of technology To begin with, cell phones make it possible for students to stay in touch with family and friends Also, cell phones allow parents to keep track of their children’s whereabouts before, during, and after school And, there’s always the possibility of a student needing to contact a parent because of a dangerous great learning websites, including essay writing websites, we can use to supplement the learning in class Cell phones are a quick and easy way to incorporate technology in the classroom Finally, cell phones encourage the responsible use of technology Students can learn when and how to use their cell phones to improve their studying and teachers and parents should help students use cell phone effectively NO CELL PHONES IN SCHOOL Although not everybody would agree, but I think that cell phones should not be allowed to bring to school I have several reasons for this point of view Using cell phone in school is the main cause for student’s failure and also certain students will be invaded their privacy by other students When students use cell phone inside a class, it influences on them adversely because inside a class, they spend all their time in texting message to each other or watching videos instead of concentrating on teacher’s lecture Cell phone is the main cause of distraction in class During a lesson, students who use cell phone in class will get distracted and also they waste their time instead of understanding the lesson Not only students who use their cell phones will get distracted, but also rest students in class will be influenced by students who use cell phones in class …………………… Though cell phone is a useful device, a huge number of students use it to invade both teachers and students privacy by recording videos or taking photos They would like to record videos or take photos to their teachers and friends Moreover, some students alter these videos by adding comments and post them in Facebook or YouTube In this case, the teachers will lose their students’ respect and also they will be frustrated because their privacy are invaded …………………………………………………… Finally, using cell phone has negative consequences on both teachers and students in class Therefore, Parents should constrain their children from using their phones inside school so that concentrate on their education rather than spend their all time in texting message and invading other students privacy STUDENTS SHOULD USE CELL PHONES IN SCHOOL SUITABLY Nowadays more and more students bring their mobile phones to school While I believe that students should carry mobile phones in case of an emergency, I am strongly opposed to phones being used at school, particularly in the classroom Firstly, many students travel to and from school without their parents Therefore, it is important for them to have a mobile phone in case they need help or have an accident on the way to school or home Furthermore, parents who work may need to contact their children For example, if a parent has to work late, the student has to be told if arrangements have been made for a relative or neighbour to look after them On the other hand, nothing is more disruptive during a lesson than the sound of a mobile phone ringing or playing an annoying tune Moreover, students who send and receive text messages in class are not paying attention to the lesson In conclusion, I feel that students should be allowed to take mobile phones to school for use in an emergency However, all phones should nhiều vấn đề cá nhân, ví dụ thư từ đóng vai trị quan trọng Chính người phải biết viết suy nghĩ cách hợp lí Vì học sinh cần thường xun thực hành viết luận nhiều chủ đề khác để phát triển khả viết văn trôi chảy linh hoạt 4.2 Một số dạng viết luận đề thi học sinh giỏi Tùy theo mục đích, luận viết chia thành dạng khác nhau, nhiên đề thi học sinh giỏi thường tập trung vào số dạng viết luận sau:  Bài luận mang tính tranh luận (Argumentative essay): Những luận kiểu thường dùng để giới thiệu quan điểm ủng hộ hay phản đối chủ đề Trong đó, người viết phải đưa lý lẽ “có lợi” cho thân để làm rõ quan điểm  Bài luận nêu quan điểm (Opinion essay): dùng để đưa ý kiến chủ đề, phải khẳng định rõ quan điểm khác chủ đề lý ví dụ  Bài luận nêu giải pháp (Solution essay): cung cấp cách giải vấn đề mà người viết đưa nguyên nhân nó, sau thảo luận đề xuất kết mong đợi  Bài luận thuyết phục (Persuasive essay): Người viết phải thuyết phục người đọc tin theo quan điểm thân  Bài luận mô tả (Descriptive essay): Trong dạng tập này, người viết yêu cầu tả lại chủ đề đó, ví dụ người, nơi chốn hay nét văn hóa truyền thống  Bài luận tường thuật (Narrative essay): Kể lại tiến trình kiện hay trải nghiệm mục đích dạng  Bài văn tự luận (Reflective essay): Thể suy nghĩ người viết đề tài Tuy nhiên, khơng nên bó hẹp vào phân loại Một đề tài viết nhiều thể loại, cần thiết phải phân loại đề tài trước sau viết luận 4.3 Yêu cầu luận tiếng Anh 4.3.1 Để viết luận tiếng anh đạt điểm cao kiến thức định ngữ pháp, người viết luận tiếng Anh cần biết đặc điểm cần có luận tốt, từ đạt hiệu cao Viết kỹ quan trọng tiếng Anh Hơn nữa, chương trình học SGK lớp 8, lớp có hẳn phần WRITING Thường đề viết liên quan đến chủ đề học đó, nhằm giúp học sinh liên hệ kiến thức nhanh Tuy nhiên, dạng đề phổ biến luyện viết luận dạng đề “Đưa quan điểm cá nhân” Ví dụ: “Bảo vệ môi trường trách nhiệm người?” “Tiếng Anh môn học quan trọng.” Cũng văn Việt Nam, điều để làm luận tốt đọc kỹ đề, từ xác định hướng làm đắn Với đề luận tiếng Anh, học sinh cần lưu ý khơng có đáp án khơng có đáp án sai Bản thân người đề không đưa đáp án chấm điểm Cái mà họ trông chờ người viết hiểu đề, viết trôi chảy theo ngữ pháp tiếng Anh cao thể tư logic, khả thuyết phục cao Cái phải đưa ý kiến mà lập luận để bảo vệ lý lẽ đó, việc chọn bênh vực không quan trọng 4.3.2 Xác định hướng đi, dàn ý Một luận thường có độ dài tối thiểu 300 chữ Người viết Trong q trình giảng dạy, tơi tổng kết bước để viết luận tiếng Anh sau (Dĩ nhiên tiếng Anh có nhiều kiểu luận khác nhau, descriptive (miêu tả), narrative (tự sự), argumentative (nghị luận), cho bước hồn tồn áp dụng cho hầu hết đề Wriiting mà học sinh gặp)…………………………………… Bước 1: Brainstorm ý tưởng Phát triển ý cho luận gì? Làm để hướng dẫn học sinh viết luận cách tự nhiên? Điều quan trọng q trình phát triển ý viết học sinh Vậy có cách để phát triển ý cách hiệu quả? Để brainstorm ý tưởng, vòng 3-5 phút, viết tất nghĩ chủ đề, khơng thiết phải theo trình tự cả, khơng thiết phải viết tả Sau 3-5 phút, đọc lại từ vừa viết để xem ý tưởng sử dụng Brainstorm giúp tận dụng hết ý tưởng mà nghĩ Nếu nghĩ đầu mà không viết giấy, bỏ nhiều ý tưởng hay, luận phần phong phú! Bước 2: Xác định luận đề (thesis statement) Luận đề (thesis statement) khái niệm xa lạ nhiều người học tiếng Anh, luận đề lại vơ quan trọng, giúp viết hướng, mạch lạc thống Luận đề trình bày đoạn văn luận Các đoạn văn dùng để minh chứng cho luận đề Ngoài ra, luận đề phải câu khẳng định hồn chỉnh Nó khơng thể cụm từ câu hỏi Bước 3: Lập dàn ý (outline) Từ luận đề xác định trên, công việc lập dàn ý cho luận Việc lập dàn ý cho luận đòi hỏi cơng việc suy nghĩ cân thận, thành công luận phụ thuộc phần lớn vào dàn ý Trước tiên, người viết phải ghi kiện ý tưởng vừa nảy đầu óc Sau phải xếp phân nhóm kiện Người viết phải xem xét kỹ kiện ý viết tiêu đề để phân chia đề tài Các tiêu đề đại diện cho đoạn luận văn Sau tiêu đề, người viết phải xếp kiện ý tưởng theo trật tự Đó cơng việc chuẩn bị dàn ý sơ lược Dàn ý cần xem lại sửa chữa Những kiện ý tưởng không cần thiết, sau xem xét cần lược bỏ Những kiện chi tiết nảy suy nghĩ người viết cần đưa vào chỗ xác văn, cần chuyển kiện phân nhóm sai vị trí - Mở bài: gồm câu dẫn nhập, luận đề - Thân bài: gồm 2-3 đoạn văn, đoạn có topic sentence (câu chủ đề) nhằm củng cố cho luận đề, thêm vài ví dụ để làm rõ vấn đề - Kết luận: nhắc lại luận đề 2-3 ý bạn nêu thân lời kết (Nếu có thể, ước tính ln số chữ dự định viết cho phần để luận nhìn cân đối Ví dụ, luận yêu cầu viết 300 chữ, dành 50 chữ cho mở bài, 50 chữ cho kết luận, ý thân từ 70 đến 100 chữ.)
