Lesson (1.2) I Aims.

1 Knowledge:

- By the end of this lesson, students will be able to ask and answer about time. New words: time get up go to school have breakfast have lunch have dinner Structure: What time is it?

2 Warm up (4’)

To prepare pupils for this lesson, play a game with them using the numbers f ive, ten,f ifteen, twenty, twenty-five, thirty, thirty-five, forty, forty-five, fifty and fifty-five Say five Then choose a pupil to say the next number (i.e ten) That pupil then chooses another pupil to say the next number

Continue until f ifty-five New lesson

*Activity 1.( 10’) Using sách mềm.vn Set the scene

* Look, listen and repeat

- Ask Ss to open their book on page and describe pictures

Who are they? – They are Mom and Phong ? What are they talking about?

-You are going to listen the dialogue between them

- Play the recording twice - Ask Ss to repeat a few times - Call on two pairs to play roles - Ask Ss to practice in pairs - Call some pair to perform

- Have the whole class repeat all the phrases a few times to reinforce their pronunciation

- Ask Sts to look at the pictures on page and identify the characters

Spend a few minutes revising the previous lesson by getting pupils to play Bingo, using the five times in Activity 2, and seven twenty, seven thirty-five, seven forty -five (nine di erent times in total) Then have the class make sentences with theff

words that were used in the game, using It’s + (time)

- Set the scene: you are going to listen to the recording,tick the information and tick the correct picture.

- 1st:Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen while they are looking the pictures in their books

- 2nd: play the recording for Ss to listen and tick the correct pictures

- Have Ss trade their answers in pairs for correction

- 3rd: play the recording for Ss to check their answers

- Give feedback

- Ask some questions to ensure Ss’
