- Write the new vocab on the board and get ss to say the

I Objectives:

- By the end of this lesson, ss will pronounce correctly the sound of letters

“oo” as in afternoon and “br” as in brush

- And to listen and number the ps in the order they hear

+ Work in pairs/ groups

- Display their homelink writing on the board Then ask ss to

ask and answer qs related to the items on the list

2.Listen and repeat:

- Ask ss to open their book on page 29 Stick the sheet of

paper with the section written on it on the board Pay

attention to the sound of the letters “oo” and “br”

3 Listen and read together:

- Pay ss’ attention to the ps in this section Elicit their names

to set the context

- Pre – teach the vocab (review): using the ps

- Write the new words on the board and get ss to repeat them

a few times Read each dialogue, and then have ss repeat

each line in the dialogues

- Model: Read dialogue a, one clap for ending “oo” and two

claps for ending “br” Get ss to clap in the same way as you

read each dialogue again Then ask ss to repeat each line of

the dialogues

- Play the tape twice: once for ss to listen all the way through

and once for them to clap at the focused words

4 Group and say aloud.

- Ask sts to look at the table, listen and repeat

- Ask sts to group the similar letters then read aloud

- Call some sts to the board and write down, then read aloud

in front of class

- Check the answers

5 Listen and number

- Ask sts to look at the ps And recall the key words to

understand the text and write them on the board for ss to

repeat a few times

- Play the tape twice: once for ss to listen all the way through

and once for them to do the task

- Replay the tape for ss to check their answers

- Ask ss to trade their answers in pairs and call some ss to

give their answers

- Ask ss to choose and copy one ps from the crossword puzzle

and color it for a classroom display in the next lesson

1 Look, listen and repeat:

- Ask ss to open their book on page 31 Set the text

- Pre – teach the new words: surf the internet, school project

Write them on the board and get ss to repeat a few times

- Play the tape twice: once for ss to listen all the way through

and once for them to repeat a few times

- Divide the class into groups to practice in each ps

2 Point, ask and answer:

- Set the scene Ask ss to read the example and elicit their

prompts to complete the speech bubbles

- Write the qs and answer on the board and get ss to repeat

them a few times

- Get ss to repeat the prompt under each ps a few times

Make models with the whole class

- Ask ss to work in pairs to practice asking & answering what

one did at a birthday party

- Choose some pairs to perform the task in front of the class

3 Read and complete:

- Set the scene Elicit & recall any vocab that ss need to

understand the passage: go out, take a bus.

- Read the complete passage and get ss to repeat a few times

- Get ss to read and complete the passage independently

Then work in pairs

- Have ss to check their answers in pairs before calling some

ss to give the answers

4 Write your diary about what you did yesterday.

- Set the context Call on some ss and elicit their prompts to
