(Listen) I/ Objectives:

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to listen for specific information, describe what people are wearing and know how use the present perfect.

Greetings.

Taking attendance: 9B… / … ; 9C ……./ ……; 9E ……./ …….

2 Checking up.

Call some students to answer some questions.

What you useually wear when you go to the party? Why? What kind of clothing you like wearing? Why?

3 New lesson.

Steps/ activities Content

Warm up

- Revision:

- Write the work CLOTHING on the board

- Divide the class into two teams Students from two teams go to the board and write the words relating to CLOTHING

- The team which writes more words in limited time is the winner

Pre-listening

- Ask students to look at the pictures in page 16 and answer the questions about each of them

- Impure – teaching vocabulary: - Checking vocabulary:

- Put the new words on over the board - Call two students or two teams of students to the front of the class Ask them to stand at the equal distance from the board

- Teacher calls out one of the new words in English in loud voice; the two students must run forward and slap the word on the board The one who first slaps the correct word is the winner If students play in team, the winning team gets a mark Then ask two more students to come forward,

While listening

*Set the scene: You will hear an announcement about a lost little girl called Mary

A Ask students to listen and answer the questions:

- Ask students to listen and check (  ) the letter of the correct picture to show What Mary is wearing

- Give feedback

Ask students to describe a friend of theirs, answering the questions: How old is she/ he?

2 What is she/ he like?

3 What types of clothing does she/ he like wearing? What is she/ he wearing today?

* Check the vocabulary: What and Where - Write each word in a callout on the board Practice saying the words, rub out the words one by one

- Get students to repeat the words including the rubbed out ones Students try to remember all the word

While reading

*Brainstorming:

- Ask students the question: What you want know about jeans? Make questions

Elicit questions from student;

- Ask students to read the text to find out the answers to their questions and add more ideas

- Ask students to read the text to fill in the missing dates and words, exercise a), on page 17

- Have students work in pairs to answer the questions ( exercise b) on page18

- Give feedback

Because jeans became cheaper
