Lesson 2: Part 1, 2, 3, (P1) I Objective:

1 Language focus:

- By the end of this lesson, students will be able to recognize the /k/ sounds Vocabulary: Letter Kk, kick, kite.

2 Skill:

- Listening, speaking, reading, writing 3 Attitude:

- Encourage Ss to use the structure more regulary II Teaching aids:

2 Warm up (5’)

*Activity: Sing The alphabet song

- T play the alphabet song and have students listen - T play the song again and asks Ss to sing the song

- T put the flashcards on the board for the letters in red (k and l) Point to each flashcard, call out the letter's name, and have students repeat

3 New lesson (30’)

*Activity Listen and repeat Trace (7’)

- T play the CD and asks Ss to listen and repeat - Demonstrate tracing the letters with your finger - T asks Ss to trace the letters with their fingers - T calls Ss to demonstrate the activity in front of the class

- T asks Ss to look at the picture - T demonstrate the activity

1 Listen and point, repeat

a Vocab kick: đá kite: diều

- T plays the CD and asks Ss to point to the letter as they hear them

- T plays the CD again and asks Ss to listen and repeat

- T asks Ss to demonstrate the activity in front of the class

- T says “k…k…kick” and make gestures for a girl, e.g using hands to show that the girl has long hair

*Activity Sing (5’)

- T asks Ss to look at the lyrics - T read the lyrics as a whole class - T play the CD and asks Ss to listen

- T play the CD again and asks Ss to listen and sing along

*Activity Listen and hop.(5’)

- T demonstrate the activity - T asks Ss to stand up

- T ask Ss hop when they hear the letter sound

*Activity: Alphabet ball (5’)

- T asks Ss to make a big circle

- T give a ball to the first S and ask he/she to say a letter, the first S gives the ball to the second S Have the second Ssay a word

- Continue the game
