Lesson 1: part 1-2-3 I Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - Know the vocabularies: free time, program, surf the Internet, karate, clean the house - Asking and answering questions about someone does in his/her free time by using sentence patterns: What you in your free time? I - Express their concern about their activities in free time II Procedures: A Warm up: - Get Ss to play game “Miming” - Introduces the new lesson B New lesson: Activity 1: Look, listen and repeat Step1: Discover the picture: - How many people are there in the picture? - Who are they? - Where are they? - What are they doing? Step 2: Listen and repeat - T plays the recording and Ss listen and repeat once or twice - Have Ss repeat in chorus or in pairs if necessary Step 3: Share ideas - Focus on the structure, lead in the new lesson - Plays the tape and asks students repeat - T ask Ss to work in pairs - Teach new words **Observation and oral comment (pronunciation and intonation) Activity 2: Point and say Aims of this activity: Asking and answering questions about what someone does in his/her free time Step 1: Focus on the structure, pre-teach vocabulary Vocabulary: free time, programme, surf the Internet, karate, clean the house Structure: What you in your free time?
