Objectives: - By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to : + Know something about English spoken countries. + Introduce the book “Tieng Anh 4” with 4 themes: Me and my friends, Me and My School, Me and My family, Me and the World around. - Skill: Listening, writing, reading and speaking - Give Ss the love of English, B. Preparation: + Teacher: Textbook, pictures, handouts, posters, wordsheets, CD. C. Proceduce: Teacher’s activities Students’ activitives I. Warm up: - All class sing a Vietnamese song. - Asking and answering some questions about Student’ learning habits. II. Presentation: a. Introduce something about English - T introduces, Ss listen. + English is popular in the world + Many countries use it to be their mother tongue + It’s not too difficult to learn b. Introduce some English spoken countries in the world + United Kingdom. America, Australia, Newzeland, Singapore c. Present books Student book: - Beautiful and colourful - Review some characters in the book. Objectives: - By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to greet someone formally. + Structure: Good morning, Miss Hien. + Vocab: Good morning, good afternoon, good evening - Skills: Reading, listening and speaking. - Instruct Ss to be confident when speaking English. B. Preparation: + Teacher: Textbook, pictures, CD. + Students: Books C. Proceduce: Teacher’s activities Students’ activitives I. Warm up: - All class sing a Vietnamese song II. Presentation: - T encourages Ss observe pictures & say the names of 4 people. - T plays tape/ reads. - T checks pronunciation. - T presents the vocabularies & use. - T gives the situations & presents form. III. Practice: - Encourage Ss speak about the pictures’s content. - T does a model - Sing a song 1. HOW ARE YOU? Period 5: Lesson 2 (3,4) A. Objectives: - By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to greet someone formally and ask about the health. + Structure: How are you? I'm very well, thank you. + Vocab: well, very - Skills: Reading, listening and speaking. - Instruct Ss to be confident when speaking English. B. Preparation: + Teacher: Textbook, pictures, CD. + Students: Books C. Proceduce: Teacher’s activities Students’ activitives I. Warm up - Play games: Greeting Play game with 4 team. First look at the pic and identify the characters and read the signs they have got. Who is team faster is winner. - Lead to the new lesson II. Presentation - Pre read: Ask them to look at book and identify the characters in the pic. Then Tell them that they are going to read dialogues and then tick in the right pic. - While Read: Ss read the dialogues individual and do the task. + Work in pairs and practice the dialogues. + Call Ss to report answers + Teacher make some few questions to check the Ss’ comprehension of the dialogue. + Whole class Chorally read each line - Whole class divided into 4 teams and play game. - Listen 3. Presentation * Set the scene: Look at the pic in the book and Ask the Ss - Greet and ask about the health - Listen 1.
