Period 10 Lesson 4: B1-3 I Objectives

1 Aims: By the end of this leson, ss will be able to - Remember, write, read the ordinal numbers - Read and write correctly the months of the year

- Ask and answer about their birthday, relatives and friends * Knowleges:

+ Standard : - Ask and answer the questions about birthdays - Listen and write the the ordinal numbers, months in the year - Distinguish the use of cardinal and ordinal numbers

+ Advanced : - Do some difficult exercises about cardinal and ordinal numbers - Listen and write some dates

*Vocabulary: leap year, except, to appear, all the rest, first, second, fifth, ninth, twelfth, twentieth, thirtieth

*Structures : What is your date of birth? - June first ( the first of June)

2 Skills : - Practice pronouncing the ending “ th” of the ordinal numbers (B1) - Practice listening, speaking skills

3 Attitude: Educate ss to learn hard and to be friendly and helpful II Teaching aids.

- Introduce B1 on page 24 and let Ss listen to the tape once

- Explain how to form ordinal numbers from cardinal numbers - Give the note

- Explain how to read ordinal numbers

- Let Ss listen to the tape again and repeat

- Call on some Ss to read the ordinal numbers aloud

+Guess the new words/ Matching - T hang a poster & run through -> model

- Divide class into teams going to match on bb in turn

- Ask and answer with a partner, Write their own dialogue - Change the form to make a new dialogue

*Vocabulary: to worry, nervous, form, registration form, worried *Structures : What is your date of birth? = When is your birthday? Where you live? = What’s your address?
