III.Teaching procedures: 1.Warm-up: -Questions and answers about sts’summer holiday. 2.Review: a) The simple present tense: Form: - The main use of the simple present tense is to express habitual action. - The simple present tense is often used with adverbs or adverb phrases such as: always, never, occasionally, often, sometimes, usually, everyweek, on mondays, etc Ex: My brother always gets up late. b)- The simple past tense: Form: - It is used for actions completed in the past at a definite time Ex: I met him yesterday. c)- The simple future tense: Form: - It is used to express the speaker’s opinions, speculations, about the future. Morale: Educate students how to relax after school. III.Techniques: Brainstorm, pairwork. IV.Teaching aids: Text book, cassette, 5 pictures. V.Procedures: Teacher and students’ activities Contents 1. warm up ( Brainstorming) T asks sts some questions about their activities after school. T shows the pictures (a, b, c and d) for sts to observe and ask them to discribe the pictures T does the model of picture (a) and then sts work in pairs. reading playing soccer * Questions: - What do you do after school? - Who do you often play it with ? T explains vocabulary (A person who lives next to your house). T reads vocab → Sts repeat (Chorus and individual). * Checking vocab: Who’s Hoa? Where is she from? Practice: Sts practise the conversation in pairs.One or two pairs do it in front of the class. 1. Practice the dialogue with a partner. Sts ask and answer the questions (a→ d) in book in pairs. Week : 2 Period : 3 UNIT 1 (cont’d) Speak and Listen I.Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Sts will be able to use adjectives to describe people and how to respond to introductions. Morale: Educate Sts to respond to introduction politely. II.Language contents: 1. Vocabulary: curly, blond, straight, fair. 2. Structure: S + tobe + adj. S + have/has +adj +hair. 3. Grammar: Simple present tense. III.Techniques: Brainstorm, guessing game, pair work, group work. IV.Teaching aids: Text book, pictures, cassette. V. Produres: Teacher and Sts’ activities Contents 1.Warm-up/Pre-speaking (Brainstorming): T asks Sts to think of the adjectives used to describe body build and hair.
