UNIT 6 (cont’d) Listen ]I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Sts will be able to complete a song and offer and respond to assistance. II. Language contents: Vocabulary: Unite, peace. Structure: Let’s + V-infinitive III. Teaching aids: flip-chart, cassette. IV. Techniques: communicative, approach. V. Time: 45 ms. VI. Produres: Teacher and Sts’ activities Contents 1. Warm-up: Listen to a song. Let Sts listen to the song for fun. * Listen to a song: Children of our land unite Let’s sing for peace, Let’s sing for right. Let’s sing for the love between north and south, Oh, children of our land, unite. Children of the world hold hands. Let’s show our love from place to place Let’s shout out loud, Let’s make a stand, Oh, children of the world, hold hands. 2. Pre-listening: T teachs the vocabulary. Use translation and antonym to elicit vocabulary. Drill pronunciation. T checks the vocabulary. (Rubout and remember) T reads Sts repeat (chorus and individaul) * Guess the missing words. * Vocabulary: - unite (v) ®oµn kÕt, thèng nhÊt - peace (n) hßa b×nh * The song (P.56). T sticks a poster of the open song Ask Sts to guess the missing words. Call some Sts to give their answers. 3. While-listening: - Ask Sts to listen to the song and check their prediction (2 times) - Call some Sts to give their answers. - Sts listen to the last time to check. - T gives the answers. - Call Sts to go to the board and write the answers. - T checks and corrects. * Listen: Fill in the missing words: (1) unite (7) of (2) peace (8) world (3) right (9) show (4) love (10) place (5) north (11) out (6) south (12) stand (13) word 4. Post-listening: - T gives Sts hand outs of the song “V× mét thÕ giíi ngµy mai” (in English). * Listen to a song. - Sts listen to the tape and sing the song. 5. Homework: - Learn “Vocabulary” by heart. - Practise the Song at home. - Do exercises 1, 2, 3 on page . . . in the workbook. - Prepare “Vocabulary” in the next lesson. 6. Marks/Remarks: .
