Language contents: - Grammar: S + be + adjective. Ex: He is fat. She is thin. - Vocabulary: tall, short, thin, fat, heavy, light. III. Techniques: Brainstorm, true/ false repetition drill, noughts and crosses, group works, pair works, ask and answer. IV.Teaching aids: lesson plan, textbook, pictures page 97, 98 and cassette. V.Time: Allotted 45 minutes. VI. Procedures: 1. Warm up:(5’) Brainstorm: Parts of the body Group A Group B - Head - Arm - Shoulder - Foot - Chest - Chest - Hand … … 2. Check up (3’) write vocab 3. New lesson (37’) Teacher's activities Contents T - Lead in : - These are the parts of the body who we have learnt. - Whole class look at here and answer: - How many people are there? - How is she/ he? Yes, today we learn to describe physical appearance. - In order to know about that, we come to part A3-4. - First we learn vocabulary. - Elicit and teach vocabulary. * Presentation: + Vocabulary: - tall (adj) - short (adj) - fat (adj) - thin (adj) - heavy (adj) - light (adj) + Check vocabulary: 7' - Have the Ss practice the vocabulary. - Control the Ss to check vocabulary by rub out and remember. - Have the Ss listen to the tape (A3) and repeat. - Ask the Ss to judge how to describe the appearance of the people. - Write the model sentence on the board. - Have the Ss look at the picture, listen to the teacher to read the sentence, if it is right you repeat, if it is wrong you silent.
