1 Knowledge

- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to use Simple Past Tense to write a folk tale. Skill

- Student practices writing a story base on the given word II – Language content.

1 Vocabulary:

2 Grammar: - Past simple III - Teaching aids:

Textbook, cards, chalks, boards…. IV – Teaching method.

- Individual work, group work… V - Procedure:

A Organization - Good morning!

- What is the date today? - Who is absent today?

- Good morning! - Answer’s teacher question

B Check up - Call on student to go to the board: + Ss1: Write the new word

+ Ss2: Read the text

- Go to the board and give answer

C Warm- up - Ask Ss some questions about imaginary stories:

1 Do you want to read imaginary stories? Name some of them

3 Which story you like best?

4 Have you ever read the story “how the tigers got his stripes”?

- Answer teacher’s question

D New lesson. I / Pre - writing:

- Introduce the aims of the writing and some new words

1 Pre- teach vocabulary : + wisdom ( n) : trÝ kh«n + a stripe (n) : đường sọc + a straw ( n) : rơm,

+ a servant (n) : ngời phục vụ , đầy tớ + to graze (v) : gặm cỏ

+ to escape : trèn tho¸t

+ to light – lit – lighted : Châm, nhóm (lửa) - Read the new word and ask student to

- Call on some students to read the new word aloud

* Reading :

- Call on Ss to say the meanings of the verbs in the box

- Have them work in pairs, using suitable verbs to fill in the blanks

- Call on them to read their answers aloud - Give feedback

- Get Ss to exercise ( Ss have to imagine to be a man in order to write the story ) * Notice : Change

The man -> I / His -> My - Ask Ss to work in-group, and then share with other group Moreover, correct mistakes - Take some writings to correct in front of the class

- Give suggested answers : IV / Post - writing :

- Give a dialogue between a tiger and a man Ask Sts to fill missing words

Tiger: Are you the master? Man: Yes.

Tiger: And the buffalo in the servant (1) Isn’t it?

Man: Sure.

Tiger: Can you tell me why you are the master (2) while the buffalo looks much bigger and stronger?

Man: Because I have something called
