A AIMS

- Ss will be able to know about Nga’s timetable and write about themslves and their school subjects

- Develop Ss reading, writing and speaking skills * Language focus:

I WARM - UP

1 Recite the chant: What subjects you have today? 2 Answer the questions:

1 What subjects you have today? When you have English?

3 What’s your favourite subject? II NEW LESSON

1 Read and complete

- Have pupils turn their books to Page 57

- Tell pupils that they are going to read Mai’s introduction to get the information

- Pupils read the passage individually

- Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary - Ask sts to act out Mai to answer the following questions:

1 What subjects does she have on Thursday? When does she have Maths and Vietnamese?

3 Does she have Science on Tuesday and Wednesday? Whendoes she have Art?

- After answering the questions, have sts look at the timetable, get information from the passage to complete the Nga’s timetable

- Sts the task

- Get the answer from sts - Give feedback

* Answer key: Vietnamese Maths Science Art Write about you and your school subjects

- Have pupils discuss about the content to write: information to write about themselves and their subjects

- Get sts’ ideas

1 Look, listen and repeat

• Whole class: Have pupils turn their books to Page 58 - Ask pupils about the characters in the pictures - Explain the meaning of the language practised

- Play the recording all the way through for pupils to listen, and point to the appropriate line in their books

- Play the recording again for pupils to repeat the lines in the speech bubbles - Repeat the steps a few times

- Some Ss role play and the others comment - Ask Ss to role play

- Ask Ss to role play before the class - Elicit the model sentences:

I WARM-UP

Chain game (Talk what they are doing) Act and say: I’m singing

II NEW LESSON 1 Listen and tick

- Have pupils look the pictures with the activities in each number - Get sts say aloud

- Tell the pupils that they are going to listen dialoges and tick the correct pictures withs activities they are doing

- Play the recording twice for pupils listen and choose the correct answers - Compare the answers with the partners

- Play the recording again pupils check their answers - T gets the answer:

- Have pupils act out the dialogues in pairs or groups for correction

- Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text

- Make a few questions to check pupils' comprehension of the language - Have the whole class repeat all the phrases in chorus
