LESSON 1 I

OBJECTIVES

1 Knowledge: By the end of this unit pupils can - Use the words, phrases related to the topics placesr

Ask, answer questions about which place someone would like to visit using Which place would you like to visit…or….? I’d like to visit….

* Language focus:

- Sentence patterns: What will the weather be like tomorrow? It’s will be… and….

- Vocabulary: museum, pagoda,bridge,temple

Skills: - Develope Ss reading, writing, speaking and listening skills 3 Attitude: - Help Ss to be more confident to communicate in English with others

- Ss can solve problems and study themselves

- Studious and obedient students and love their hometown, family and friends II TEACHING AIDS

1 Teacher’s: Lesson plan, books, flashcards or pictures, speakers, softbook, projector and computer

2 Students’: Books, notebooks, workbooks. III.

Warm up: (5’) - Sing a song 3 New lesson:

* Set the scene:

T:Ask Ss to open their book on page 58 and describe pictures

Who are they? Where are they?

-T:You are going to listen the dialogue between them

- Ss: work individually

- T:Have the whole class repeat all the phrases a few times to reinforce their pronunciation

- Ask a student to read sentences and guess the answer key

b While- reading:

- Ask Ps to read the sentences in the box and complete with the answers

- Give them a few seconds to read and the task get them in groups Go around and offer help, if necessary

- Get them to compare their answers in pairs before checking as a class

- have the class read the completed conversation aloud( if time allowed)

Ask and answer questions about someone’s opinions about a place using What do you think of…? It’s more…than I expected.

- Sentence Pattern: What you think of…? It’s more…than I expected - Vocabulary: attractive, exciting,interesting, expected

- Point to the picture for Ss to read the dialogue again

- Play the recording all the way through for pupils to listen and follow in their books Play it again for them to choral repetition until they feel confident

- Get some pairs of pupils to say the questions and answers Correct the pronunciation, if necessary
