Lesson 1,2 I Objectives:

Knowledge: After the lesson, Ss will be able to recognize and pronounce the letter B and its sound correctly, understand, recognize and say the three B words Write the letter B

1 Organization: (1’) - Greeting

T puts pictures on the board and asks Ss go to the board match the picture with the similar meaning

T comments and has Ss repeat all words

2 New lesson

Teacher’ and students Activities contents Activity 1: Presentation & Practice (10mins)

- T writes on board the letter b to introduce to the students the new lesson

- Instruct students how to pronounce the letter name and the letter sound

- T has Ss repeat several times and check students’ pronunciation

- Ss: listen and repeat

- T uses the phonics cards with ball , bed , bee , bear read the words out loud and has students repeat

- Ss: listen and repeat

- T uses gestures to help students to understand

- Stick the cards on board and have students repeat the words chorally several times (in the correct order and then in any order)

- Ss: read in chorus

- Call some students to say the words out loud and correct their mistakes (if any)

- Ask the students to open their books and colour in the letters

- Give feedback

- T encourages Ss to point to the picture of the word that the teacher says

- T has Ss to point to the corresponding item in the picture

- Ss: +listen and point then repeat with the rest of the items in random order

- T gives Ss minutes to choose the picture

- Go around the classroom asking students to name the item they’re circling

- T follows the same procedure and presents the rest of the song

Activity : Letter Writing Race Game - Ask the students to open their notebooks

- Give the students minutes to write as many Ss’s as they can
