Greet the pupils : hello, I’m … Whole class respond by saying hello 3 New lesson ( 30’ )

Teacher– Students’ activies Content 1 Listen , point and repeat Colour.

-Introduction of letter Oo , Its sound and how to pronounce the words beginning with Oo

- Use a card with letter Oo or write on the board the letter Oo to introduce to the students the new lesson

- Ask students how to pronouce the letter name and the letter sound by saying “ This is the letter Oo /o / The letter O says / o/

-Repeat several times and check student’s

-Use gestures (hand actions ) to help students to understand the meanings of the three words -Check student’s understanding T says the words,all ss actiuons and vice versa -Call some ss to say the words out loud and correct their mistakes

2 Listen and point Choose

- Ask ss to look at the books and listen to the words This is an olive !

This is an orange ! This is an octopus !

-Use gestures ( hand actions ) to help ss to understanding the meaning of command

-Ask ss to repeat by using the phonics cards of olive, orange, octopus combining with gestures - Ask ss to choose the an olive, an orange, an

octopus

- T goes round the classroom ,asking ss to name the items they are choose

*Activitiy :Pass the phonic card

- Using the phonic cards of Oo , olive , and line up the ss into teams

-Give the first ss of each team a phonics card and say “go “

- Ss say the coresponding words and pass the phonics card over their head to the ss behind them

- Next, those ss repeat the words and pass the phonics card between their legs to the ss behind them

- Continue to pass the phonic card over their head and between their legs to the last ss

- The last ss in each team give the card to teacher and say the word correctly They will get one point

- Which team has the most point wiil be winner Continue the game as many times as necessary 3 Chant and show: 10’

-Put up the lyris of the chant on the board

- Without music , use the phonics card and step ss to sing the chant with olive Do the same with orange and octopus

- With music ,the whole class sing the whole chant Do the chant again using gestures for word

- Give feedback * Production: 2’

-Ask ss to write the chant in to note book -Ask ss to excersise in the work book 4.Consolidation:

- T asks whole class to read the letter aloud - T asks whole class to read the chant aloud 5 Homelink: 1’

-Ask ss to name the letter and say the sound of letter - Put up the card on board T calls the letter and ask ss to mine the action and say the sound

3 New lesson ( 30’ )

Teacher– Students’ activies Content 1 Listen and read along 10’

-Ask ss to point letter /o/ in the word ant and point to the picture of olive Do the same with orange and octopus

-Ask ss to listen the story and point to the picture of key words when they hear them in the story

- Ss work in pairs ,one read and one check - Correct their mistakes

- Ask ss point to the sight word.Ss listen and repeat and read aloud

2.Song :10’

- Put up the olive, orange, octopus phonics card on board

- Ask ss to point the ant and say This is Mr Octopus

.Do the same with the rest of the song - Play the CD Ask ss to listen and sing - Ask ss to take out the ball on the bed goes picture cards and put them on the desk

- Play the CD and ask ss listen and hold up the corresponding card

3 Pactise: 6’

*Activity : Which one is missing 1’ - Put the card up on the table and give ss a minute to look at them and ask ss close their eyes and take away a card

1 Listen and read along

- Ss open their eyes and name the card missing

- T asks whole class to sing the song at home 5 Homelink: 1’
