Tsunami

Tsunami is a Japanese word meaning "harbor wave" "Tsu" means harbor, while "nami" means wave In tbe past, tsunamis were sometimes referred to as "tidal wave " or "seismic sea waves" But both are misleading since tbe tidal waves are not related to tsunamis and most tsunamis are caused by earthquake-related mechanisms
