- T ask Ss to put their thumbs up if the pictures of words that begin with the corresponding sounds e.g Teacher: (point to the picture of dragon) It starts with /d/ sound Up or Down?

Activity Listen, point and repeat Colour the pictures of the words that start with the d sound Say the d words (8’)

- Mime cracking and beating eggs and say doll

- T divide the class into groups of two
- The first student point to the pictures and the other student say the word then change the roles
- T ask the students to colour in the pictures of the words that start with the sound

- T put chairs in front of the board
- T devides Ss into teams of 5, A, B and C - T aks Ss from each team stand up
- T put a phonics card on each chair - T call out one of the phonics cards - T monitor and pride the winer
