+ Form: Having + PII.

+ Use: - Can be used instead of gerund

when referring to a past action However, it

is used to emphasize completion in both the past and the future.

+ Eg: The old teacher recalled having

taught.

Perfect participle:

+ Form: Having + PII.

+ Use :

- Can be used instead of Pre Participle

when one action is immediately by other with the same subject.

Eg: Having locked the door, I left the house

- It emphasize that the 1 st action is completed before the 2 nd one starts.

- Used when there is an interval of time between the two actions
