LESSON PLAN OF GRADE 10 Date: October 4 th , 2008 Period 32. Unit 6: AN EXCURSION Lesson 1 : Reading. I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to : _ read the letter and get information to decide on True / False statements. _ Answer the questions. And fill in the blanks with a suitable word from the letter. II. Teaching aids: Textbooks, chalks, boards, pictures . III. Teaching procedure: 1. Checking students’ attendance. 2. New lesson: Unit 6 _ Reading. Time Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Contents (10’) ( 10’ ) 1. Pre-reading: _ Show the pictures of the lesson, and ask ss to guess for the places. _ Check ss’ information, then give feedback. _ Introduce the topic of the lesson, and explain some new words. _ Help ss to learn the difficult words. 2. While-reading: Task 1 _ Ask ss to read the letter, and get information to complete the task 1 (p.64). _ Check ss’ work. Task 2: The answers 1. They are going on a trip when they have some days off after the first term. 2. They are going to make a two-day trip, and have a night campfire. They are bringing their own food and sharing buses with some other classes to make the trip cheap. 5.
