UnitUnit 8: ENGLISH SPEAKING COUNTRIES Period 65: Getting Started Objectives - Language content: +To introduce the topic English Speaking Countries - Language function: +By the end of the lesson, students will be able to know some English speaking countries and some information about these countries - Educational aims: + To widen SS’ knowledge about English speaking countries Language contents: + Grammar: simple tenses + Vocabulary : the words relating to English speaking countries Techniques / activities: Group/ pair work, individual working, games , using picture Teaching aids: Ss’ books, pictures, CD player Procedures Tim Teaching steps e 6ms I WARM UP: Guessing -Ask SS to look at the pictures and guess what country each monument/ item is from - Ask SS if they know of a common thing about these countries ( The language: English) - Introduce the new Unit and ask SS to call out names of English speaking countries and their main cities -Introduce the picture on page 16 and ask SS to answer some questions: Where are the children?
