I.Aims and Objectives:

+ Language content:

- To introduce sts to the lexical items related to the topic “ Food and Drink”

+ Language function:

- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to understand the content of the dialogue Ss ask and answer different traditional food

- Develop listening and speaking skills

+ Educational aim: to make sts know what are good for their meals

II Language Contents:

a- Vocabulary: tofu, noodles, mineral water, omelette, turmeric, eel, shrimp, warm up

b -structure : How many / how much

III Techniques: pairwork, groupwork, individual work, question-answer,matching , game, mind map

IV Teaching aids: pictures, cassette, tape/ CD, realias

V Procedures:

1- Stabilization: (1m)

a- Warm up: Greeting

b- Checking absence: Who’s absent today?

2- Checking up the previous knowledge: (2ms)

-Asks sts to talk about the famous musician / artist/ singer/ painter / dancer, they know well

- Gives remarks and marks

2 Pre- practice:

Activity 1: Listen and read

a) Read the conversation and answer the questions:

- Pauses the recording at the appropriate places if sts need help with comprehension questions

- Has sts work independently allows them to share their answers before discussing as a class

-Asks Ss not to look at the book and try to remember which foods and drinks

Activity 2.: Match the food and drink with the pictures.

-Has Ss quickly match each word/ phrase with its picture

- Asks sts to repeat the words chorally and individually Corrrects their pronunciation Asks for translation to check if they understand

Activity 3: Think about their favorite foods and drinks.

- Lets sts think of their favourite food and drink and what questions they can ask about their partner’s favourite food and drink

- Models this activity with a more able student

Example:

A: What’s your favorite food?

B: It’s pho bo - beef noodle soup

A: When do you usually eat it?

B: In the morning

- Asks sts to work in pairs

- Goes around to help

- Calls some pairs to practisre in front of class

Activity 4 Listen and repeat the adjectives.

- Has Ss listen and repeat the adjectives.

- asks for translation to check if they understand the meanings ( matching )

- Asks sts to use the adjectives they have learnt to talk about the food and drink in 2

- Gives some more examples to illustrate before allowing sts to practise in pairs

- lemonade is sour

- Beef noodles soup is very delicious

- Asks sts to add more adjectives

Activity 5 Game : What’s your favorite food and drink?

- Demonstrates the game to the class

+ Language content: - To introduce some new words relating to ingredients to make some dishes

- to help sts pronounce sounds /ɒ/ and /ɔː/ correctly in isolation and in context

+ Language function: - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to use some verbs to make the pancake with some vegetables

- To help sts to practice pronouncing / ɒ / and / ɔ: / fluently

+ Educational aim: To encourage to make the dishes for the family

II Language Contents:

a- Vocabulary: heat, pour, fold, beat, serve, mixture,

b- Pronunciation: /ɒ/ and /ɔː/

- Distinguish countable nouns and uncountable nouns

+ Educational aim: To encourage to make the dishes for the family

II Language Contents:

a- Vocabulary: revise

b- structures: How many + N (plural countable)

How much + N ( uncountable )

III Techniques: pairwork, groupwork, individual work, question-answer, sentences building ,gap-filling

3- Controlled-practice:
