A/ Aim: Practice listening and reading skill about computers

B/ Objective: By the end of the lesson, Ps will able to know the helpfulness of the

computers

C/ Preparation: Pictures, cassette, chart, word cards.

D/ Procedure

I Getting started :

a Guessing - game :

What's it ?

- T gives some guiding :

+ It's a mordern machine

+ People use to type letter , send e-mail and play games

+ It begins with letter " C "

- T hands a picture with a computer

b Brainstorming:

- T asks Ss to make a list of the benefits of computers in daily life

- Ss work in groups of 4

* Feedback :

- T gives some benefits :

+ Solve problems exactly and quickly

+ Help us can gather a wide range of informations

+ Learn more effectively with issual aids

+ Can keep informatons long and safely

+ Help us relax by providing games and music

II Listen & read :

- Ss listen to the tape and check their prediction

- Ss listen and read to make sure of their prediction

A/ Aim: Practise speaking about computer

B/ Objective: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to give opinions ; agreement or

disagreement about other opinions and ss will know more about the steps to get a drink from a machine

C/ Preparation: stereo , poster , pictures

D/ Procedure :

I Check - up :

- Write new words

- Practise the dialogue

II New lesson:

1) Pre-teach vocabulary :

+ challenging ( adj ) : thử thách

+ time-consuming : lãng phí thời gian

a Picture drill :

- T hangs the pictures and asks Ss to label the pictures using cardwords

* Cardwords :

2 reading comic books

- T asks Ss to use the pictures and adjectives in the box to express and respond to

opinions about the activities above

- T models first

T : I think driving a car can be dangerous What about you ?

S 1 :So do I / I agree but there won't be a problemif you are careful

S 2 :I disagree I think it is safe , but it is difficult to drive at rushhours

* Pairwork : open pairs - closed pairs

b Practice dialogue :

- T hangs the pictures in exercise 2 and asks :

+ Who are they ? + What are they doing ? + What's wrong with it ? How to solve the problems

- Ss practise the dialogue in pairs : open pairs - closed pairs

- T asks Ss to make the similar dialogue , using the information in the table in exercise 1

* LISTEN

III New lesson:

1 Prelistening :

a Pre-teach vocabulary :

- Today we will learn about the way to get a drink from a machine First , you predict the steps to get a drink from a machine

- Ss work in individual then compare with a partner

3 While - listening :

- Ss complete the chart

Start Find a machine Do you have a correct change ?

Yes What do you want to drink ? Lemon soda Insert coins and press button take it

3 Post-listening:

- Ss listen to the tape again and fill in the missing words

This flow chart shows how to get a ( 1) from a machine It shows that the first step is to find a (2) Next ask yourself if you have a correct

(3) When the answer to this question is "(4) " ask (5) what you want to drink For example , (6) Finally , (7) the coins and (8) the button to choose the drink you want Once the drink appears , you maytake it from the machine

IV Homework :

-Turn the following sentences into reported speech

1 The teaacher asked : " Are these answers right ?"

2 Nam asked Nga : " Can you play table tennis ?"

3 The doctor asked the patient : " Do you feel better ?

- Learn by heart the way how to get a drink from the machine

I Objectives :

-After the lesson Ss will be able to know the useful of using computers at schools -To drill Ss the words: send massage, receive information, fresh man, computer bulletin board

-To drill Ss reading skill

Ask Ss to do exercise 3 ( p 91)

3.New lesson:

A Warm up.

-Ask Ss to dicuss again the steps to get drink from amachine and speak aloud in front of the class.( Work in pairs)

 find the machine

 ask yourself if you have correct change

 Ask yourself what drink you want to drink

 Insert coins and press the button

 Take the drink appearred

- Give the remark to students ‘ speech

A Presentation:

* Pre-reading.

-Introduce the lesson by giving the advantages of having computers

-Give the meaning of new words

* While - reading.

- Ask Ss to scan the reading and then answers the two questions:

1)What is the main idea of the passage?

2 Who would be interested in the reading ?

- Ask Ss to read again the reading and then decide whether the statements in your book are true ( T ) or false ( F )

-T gives the correct answers

-Ask Ss to work in pairs to read the reading again and answer the questions:

a) It doesn't have a library All the information normally found in a library now stored in the university's computers

b) All the information is available through the computer

c) A computer and a telephone line

d) With a bulletin board on the internet, a great number of people can get access to the bulletin and exchange information quickly

e) More and more people complete their college degree through Distance education programs online

-Ask Ss to read the reading aloud in front of the rest

* Post - reading.

- Ask Ss to retell again the useful of using computers

4 Consolidation:

- Ask Ss to retell the main content of the lesson: The useful of using computers at school

-After the lesson Ss will be able to know how to use the printer -To drill Ss the words: paper, icon, power button, out put path -To drill Ss writing skill ( writing instruction)

a Plug in the printer and turn on the power

b Remove the old paper and load the new paper in the paper input tray

c Wait for the power button to flash

d Have the pages appear on the computer screen

e Click the printer icon on the screen and wait for a few seconds

f The printed paper will get out from the output path in a minute

- Check the writing and give the remark

- Ask Ss to read the instruction again

* Post- writing.

-Ask ss to do the exercise :

-Match the name with the pictures given to show the meaning of them

I Objectives :

-After the lesson Ss will be able to revise the present perfect tense and compare with the simple past tense

-Ask Ss to do the exercise in the text book

-To drill Ss writing and speaking skills

Ask Ss to retell how to use the printer.?

3.New lesson:

-Ask Ss to do the rearrange sentences into meaningful passage to know how to get money from the machine

1 Choose the amount of money you want to withdraw

2 Enter the PIN ( Personal Identification Number)

3 Insert the card into the machine

4 Get money and the receipt

-Ask ss to work in pairs to do

-Give the correct answers

B Presentation:

* The present perfect tense.

1.Presentation.

-Ask ss to give the form of the present perfect tense used with already and Yet.

-Work in pairs to give the form and the uses

The uses:

-Express the action that happened in the past and relate to the present.Used with “yet”

Ex: Have you finished your homework yet?

-Express the action that happened in the past and already finished

Ex: I have already finished the homework yet.

-Ask them to compare with the simple past tense

-Ask ss to work in pairs to do the exercise 1 ( p144)

-Share the answers to the partners

-Give the correct asnwers

Ba: I’m sorry, Mom I haven’t cleaned and tidied it yet.

Ba: don’t worry , Mom I have already turned it off.

Ba: I have already called and told her to have lunch with us.

-Ask Ss to do exercise 2 ( p144-145)

-work in pairs to practice asking and answering about the flight

-Ask ss to do this axercise orally

-Call some pairs to practice before the class

-Ask Ss to do the exercise 3 ( p146)

-T explains the examples:

+I have gone to SaPa.( Incompleted action)

-Work in pairs to give the correct answers:

-Ask ss to give the whole uderstanding about the present perfect tense

* Pressent perfect and the simple past tense.

-Ask Ss to give the differences between the uses of the two tenses

-Call some pairs to write on the BB
