Lesson (1, 2) I Objectives: * By the end of the period, Sts will be able to: + Use the words and phrases related to the topic Food and Drink + Ask and answer questions about favourite food and drink Using What’s your favourite food / drink ? It’s……… - Ss can develop some following competences: + Communicative and collaborative competence: act 1, act + Problem-solving competence: act 1, act + Self-studying and self-control competence: act 2, act 3, act + Problem-solving and creative competence: act * Language focus: - Vocabulary:beef , pork , chicken , fish , water , orange juice, milk - Strucrure: - Using What’s your favourite food / drink ? It’s……… II Materials: - Teacher’s: books, pictures, flashcards, CD - Students’: books, notebooks, crayons, pens, boards III Method: Communicative Language Teaching, Work individually, pairwork, groupwork III Teaching activities: Activity 1: Warm up: Shark attack - FOOD / DRINK - T divides the class into 2groups  In turn, st stands up & says out letter randomly if there is that letter in the key word, that group doesn’t go down & if there isn’t that letter, that group will go down step (weak sts are prioritized) - The winner is the group find out the key word first or go down least Activity 2: Presentation: Look, listen and repeat • Pre-Teach vocabulary: Food Drink + Chicken ( Visual ) + Water (visual) + Fish (visual) + Orange juice (visual) + Beef ( visual) + Pork ( visual) • Set the sence: + Show the picture a and elicit the answer of who the characters are Châu Văn Liêm Primary School English + Explain what happens in the picture + Have Ss repeat the text in the bubbles a few times + Do choral & individual repetition, pointing to the characters speaking + Play the tape for Ss to listen & say along + Write the pattern on the board • Partten: A: What’s your favourite food / drink? Lesson (3, 4, 5) I Objectives: * By the end of this lesson, Sts will be able to: + listen to someone use the name of the food/ drink in the dialogues - Good sts : listen & read well the name of the food/ drink - Weak sts : listen & tick correctly + listen and use the pattern in listening and writing + sing the song: “ My favourite food and drink” * Language focus: - Structure: A: What’s your favourite food / drink? B: It’s _ - Differentiated teaching: + Incomplete Ss: can hear the key words + Well-completed Ss: can hear the whole sentences II Materials: - Teacher’s: books, pictures, flashcards, CD - Students’: books, notebooks, crayons, pens, boards III Method: - Communicative Language Teaching/Work individually, pairwork, groupwork III Teaching activities: Activity 1: Warm up Kim’s game - T shows the words in the poster& runs through the time, then he asks Ss in teams to look through and write the words they remember on the board, T checks and gives feedback which team has more correct answers will win Activity 2: Châu Văn Liêm Primary School English Listen and tick - * Procedure: - T shows the pictures on board - T & good ss run through the pictures + Elicit the name s of the food / drink + Have Ss repeat them + Play the tape times for Ss to listen Do the task & check their answers + Get Ss to swap & check their answers before checking as a class Activity 3: (Look and write) * Procedure: Châu Văn Liêm Primary School English - Let Sts look at these pictures & practice in pairs  write individually  correct on the board - let weak or average sts correct on board / (let good sts tell the words they can hear) - T’s feedback => correction Activity 4: => Let’s sing * Procedure: - T runs through the song first  sts listen to the recording time  listen the 2nd time and follow  sing each sentence  sts A sing first + sts B sing the next ones - Let sts practice in pairs  some good sts represent in front of class  Consolidation: - Content: Review the song / rewrite the writing  Homework: - Do Ex B p / Rewrite the writing / Review the song Week 22 UNIT 13: WOULD YOU LIKE SOME MILK?
