In Vietnam, rice straw after each harvest is used for many purposes: using for livestock bedding, cultivating straw mushroom, using as fuel for farmer, feeding cattle , applying electric production, padding fragile goods , transporting fruit or burning directly on field However, the treatment of rice straw, in fact, doesn’t get much efficiency and is causing environmental pollution and affecting human health To overcome these, we used the molds were Trichoderma strains which were isolated from plant soil and degrading agricultural wastes with high capability of cellulose and lignin degradation to reduce the degradation time Then, we used degraded rice straw as a food source of earthworm (Perionyx excavatus) Our purposes were to improve environmental problems and contribute to get economic efficiency for farmers in agricultural production with closed cycle Through the criterial evaluation of cellulose and lignin contents showed Trichoderma spp were the most effective degradation after 30 days cultivation , with the initial strain rate of % and 65 % humidity, the correlatively contents of cellulose and lignin decreased 11.4 % and 3.67 % from initial materials Research results also showed that in the food ratio: 80 % cow dung : 20 % rice straw (through composting), earthworm biomass increased the highest rate with growth rate is 154.55 % and the earthworm
