Hạn chế và hướng nghiên cứu tiếp theo của đề tài

Cũng giống như các nghiên cứu trước, bài nghiên cứu khoa học này mang tính hàn lâm cũng còn những mặt hạn chế cần xem xét. Một số hạn chế vẫn còn trong nghiên cứu này, mà lần lượt định hướng cho nghiên cứu tiếp theo trong tương lai.

Cụ thể như sau:

Thứ nhất, nghiên cứu này chỉ khảo sát đối tượng là nhân viên và quản lý làm việc tại hệ thống các siêu thị lớn ở TPHCM, nên chỉ mang tính hàm ý. Vì đặc điểm tính cách đã được tìm thấy khác nhau dựa trên khí hậu, văn hóa, khu vực, tôn giáo

và mức độ phát triển trong xã hội và các tổ chức đó (Costa, Terracciano, & McCrae, 2001). Giới hạn này tạo cơ hội để nghiên cứu trong tương lai để tính đến sự khác biệt, mở rộng phạm vi nghiên cứu và xem xét các ngành nghề khác để có cái nhìn tổng quát hơn về tác động của đặc điểm tính cách Big-Five và lãnh đạo đạo đức lên sự hài lòng trong công việc.

Thứ hai, hạn chế về mẫu nghiên cứu, mẫu nghiên cứu còn tương đối ít, như trong nghiên cứu định lượng sơ bộ số mẫu tối thiểu chỉ 50 người gây khó khăn cho việc chạy phân tích nhân tố khám phá EFA, mẫu còn được chọn theo pháp lấy mẫu thuận tiện, đồng thời phạm vi mẫu chỉ ở TPHCM nên mẫu chưa đảm bảo yêu cầu về tính đại diện và tính khái quát. Cần chọn phương pháp lấy mẫu mang tính đại diện, chuyên sâu và rộng hơn để đảm bảo cho nghiên cứu có tính khái quát cao hơn.

Thứ ba, nghiên cứu này chỉ xem xét tác động của đặc điểm tính cách và lãnh đạo đạo đức đến sự hài lòng trong công việc. Còn nhiều yếu tố khác tác động mạnh mẽ đến sự hài lòng trong công việc. Đây cũng là một hướng mở ra cho các nghiên cứu tiếp theo.

Thứ tư, nghiên cứu về đặc điểm tính cách là một lĩnh vực khá rộng lớn và được nghiên cứu trên nhiều lĩnh vực khác nhau như tâm lý, tình cảm, văn hóa, xã hội, giáo dục,…Trong bài nghiên cứu gì còn hạn chế. Do đó, cần nghiên cứu cụ thể từng yếu tố tính cách cùng với sự khác biệt thông tin cá nhân như giới tính, trình độ học vấn, thâm niên, chức vụ và vị trí công việc,…để có thể đánh giá chính xác đặc điểm tính cách của từng cá nhân và mức độ ảnh hưởng đến sự hài lòng trong công việc cụ thể hơn. Định hướng cho các nghiên cứu tương lai hoàn thiện hơn.

TÓM TẮT CHƯƠNG 5

Tổng kết toàn bộ kết quả nghiên cứu, một số giải pháp đề xuất giúp cho nhà lãnh đạo quản lý các hệ thống siêu thị thành công và đem lại sự hài lòng cho nhân viên làm việc trong siêu thị, những hạn chế của đề tài cũng như đề xuất hướng nghiên cứu trong tương lai.
