nên tránh sử dụng ngôn ngữ mơ hồ (gọi tắt NNMH) thư từ kinh doanh Tuy nhiên, nhà nghiên cứu phát mức độ đó, ngơn ngữ mơ hồ bổ sung tính linh hoạt phù hợp cho giao tiếp kinh doanh, làm cho thư từ trở nên lịch thuyết phục Chính vậy, việc phân tích ngơn ngữ mơ hồ, tượng ngôn ngữ dường mâu thuẫn, thư tín kinh doanh từ góc độ từ vựng thực dụng có ý nghĩa to lớn Đề tài minh họa cách sử dụng ngôn ngữ mơ hồ thư tín thương mại tiếng Anh (gọi tắt TTTMTA) cách đắn hiệu cách phân tích lượng thư phong phú đa dạng 100 mẩu thư tín lấy từ sách thư tín tiếng Anh, sau hệ thống hóa phân tích cụ thể Bài báo cáo sử dụng phương pháp định lượng định tính nhằm phân tích đặc điểm từ vựng ngữ dụng NNMH loại TTTMTA Nghiên cứu định lượng nhằm phân tích liệu thống kê loại TTTMTA sử dụng, cho thấy khác biệt cách phân bổ NNMH nó, nghiên cứu định tính giải thích việc áp dụng NNMH TTTMTA với mục đích NNMH sử dụng cách góp phần làm cho giao tiếp kinh doanh hiệu Qua đó, nghiên cứu đưa số gợi ý để điều tra thêm NNMH Từ adheres to the “Seven Cs” principle, namely, Consideration, Courtesy, Clarity, Correctness, Conciseness, Concreteness and Completeness People usually hold the view that VL should be avoided in business correspondence However, researchers have found out that VL, to a great extent, adds flexibility and appropriateness to business communication, thus making correspondence more polite and persuasive Therefore, it is of great significance to analyze VL, the seemingly contradictory linguistic phenomenon, in business correspondence from the lexical and pragmatic perspective The thesis illustrates how to use vague language (VL hereafter) in English business correspondence (EBC hereafter) properly and effectively by analyzing abundant EBC Within this framework, 100 pieces of EBC taken from distinguished text books are systematized and analyzed The thesis makes both quantitative and qualitative analysis of VL used in all types of business correspondence The quantitative research, an analysis of statistical data of VL used in each category, shows the difference in its distribution, whereas the qualitative research explains the application of VL in English business correspondence with an aim to point out that VL if properly used, contributes to an efficient, effective and smooth business communication through business correspondence Furthermore, the study may
