Book, CD, phonics cards, paper including the lyrics of the chant Student: - Student’s book, Activity book III Method: - TPA, PPP IV.Procedures: Organization: - Greeting - Check student attendence Class Date of teaching Absent Ss th 1A Tuesday, December 18 2018 1B Tuesday, December 18th 2018 1C Monday, December 17th 2018 Warm up (5’) Revise the words Unit Make two columns on the board Ask the ps to make the letters in column one to those in the column to make four words New lesson 30’ Teacher – Students’ activies Content Listen, point and repeat Colour.15’ -Introduction of letter Gg , It’s sound and how to pronounce the words beginning with Gg - Use a card with letter Gg or write on the board the letter Gg to introduce to the students the new lesson - Ask students how to pronouce the letter name and the letter sound by saying “ This is Listen, point and repeat Colour (2) the letter Gg /g/ The letter g says / g/ -Repeat several times and check student’s pronunciation(letter Gg /g / and its sound / / -Use the phonics cards read the words out loud and ask students to repeat -Use gestures (hand actions ) to help students to understand the meanings of the three words -Call some ss to say the words out loud and correct their mistakes *Activity1 : Memory game - Put the phonics cards of glass, goat, garden on the board Listen and point Colour 7’ - Ask ss to look at the books and listen to the words Look at the glass -Use gestures ( hand actions ) to help ss to understanding the meaning of command -Ask ss to repeat by using the phonics cards of glass, goat, garden combining with gestures - Ask ss to colour glass, goat - T goes round the classroom *Activitiy :Pass the phonic card - Using the phonic cards of Gg , glass, goat, garden and line up the ss into teams -Give the first ss of each team a phonics card and say “go “ - Ss say the coresponding words and pass the phonics card over their head to the ss behind them - Next, those ss repeat the words and pass the phonics card between their legs to the ss behind them - The last ss in each team give the card to teacher and say the word correctly They will get one point - Which team has the most point wiil be winner Continue the game as many times as necessary Chant and show: 10’ -Put up the lyris of the chant on the board - Without music , use the phonics card and step ss to sing the chant with glass Do the same with goat and garden Activity1 : Memory game Put the phonics cards of glass, goat, garden Gg Listen and point Colour Activity 2: Where the letter write down the words glass, goat, garden Chant and show (3) - With music ,the whole class sing the whole chant Do the chant again using gestures for eag word - Give feedback *Activity 2: Where the letter 3’ - Ask ss to work in groups T hangs out the photographs about the storry and ask ss to circle the letter - T give the time - T corrects and praise the winner * Production:1’ - Show the letter Gg again , and ask ss to write the Gg in air with their fingers - Ask ss to write down the words glass, goat, garden into their notebook 4.Consolidation:1’ - Put up the card on board T calls the letter and ask ss to mine the action and say the sound New lesson 30’ Teacher – Students’ activies Content Listen and read along 7’ Listen and read along -Ask ss to point letter /g/ in the word fox and point to the picture of Do the same with glass and goat -Ask ss to listen the story and glass point to the picture of key words when they hear them in the story - Ss work in pairs ,one read and one check - Correct their mistakes - Ask ss point to the sight word.Ss listen and repeat and read aloud 2.Song :10’ 2.Song - Put up the glass, goat, garden phonics card on board - Ask ss to point the ant and say G for glass Do the same with the rest of the song - Play the CD Ask ss to listen and sing - Ask ss to take out the ant ,apple alligator picture cards and put them on the desk - Play the CD and ask ss listen and hold up the corresponding card Pactise Pactise: 8’ *Activity : Which one is missing - Put the card up on the table and give ss e minute to look at them and ask ss close their eyes and take away a card -
