- Do choral and individual repetition, pointing to the charactors speaking

- Play the recording again for ps to listen and repeat

- T tell ps that they are going to practicse asking answering questions about someone’s birthday

- Ps look at the pictures and focus on the months and the circled dates

- T teach the months of year: January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December.

- Check comprehension

- Ask Ps to repeat each word a few times

- Ask them to point to the picture ps say the date” the first of January”

b Model sentences

- Then let one ps ask “ When’ s your birthday?” and other answers “ It’s on the first of January”

-T write Q&A on the board the class repeat them

- Repeat the same procedure with the rest of the pictures Do choral and individual repetition and then practice in pairs

- Call a few pairs to act out the dialogue in front of the class Check as a class and correct pronounciation

- Ask Ss to practise asking and answering the question using the puppets as an example

- Ask Ss to work in pairs to practise asking and answering the question using the word under each picture as a cue

- Give them time to the task independently - Get some pair to ask and answer the questions

- Tell Ps that they are going write an invitation card to invite friends to their birthday parties, using read information about themselves

- Ps work in pairs to discuss what they are going to write

- Focus them on the friendsthey can invite, the date of party, the time of party and the dress where the party is held

- They should put their own names in the from line - Check comprehension

- Give ps time to the task independently

- Get them to swap their answers before checking as a class

- Call one ps write the answers on the board

- Encourage them to decorate their invitation cards and ask the class to vote for the three best cards
