Lesson 1: Getting started + listen and read + language focus 4 A The aims and objectives.

1. The aims: By the end of the lesson , Ss will be able to talk about the city life and the country life

2 Objectives:

a. Language focus: develop listening and speaking skills about the different between the countryside and the city

b Skills: Listening, speaking, reading and writing B Preparation

1 Teacher’s: lesson plan, textbooks,

2 Students: textbooks, workbooks and other tools. C. Procedures:

I. Organization (1’): Greeting + checking member. II. Checking the old lesson + warm up.

- Talk to Ss about life in the city and life in the country by asking some questions 1 Where you live ?

2 Do you want to live in the city ? Why ? 3 Do you want to live in the country ? Why ? => Lead in the new lesson

III New lesson:

- Asks students to open the book and put the adjectives on page 72 in a suitable catalog: City or countryside

- Brainstorms more adjectives: fresh, noisy,

convenient, friendly, simple, quiet, park, cinema, cheap, expensive, supermarket, night

3 Practice:

- Asks students to listen to dialogue then practice reading out aloud with a partner a Na has been to Kim Lien village b She was there for one day
