+ Where are they? Are they at school or park?
+ Can you guess what they are doing?
- Stick characters of each picture on the board
- Explain what happens in each picture
- Write the dialogs of each picture on the board
- Play the CD 1st for students to
listen and point
- Play the CD 2nd for students to
listen and repeat
- Have the whole class say aloud one more time
- Devide the class into teams: team Moon and team Sun - Picture a, have team Moon be
Mai and team Sun be Nam Then, change the roles
- Picture b, the same as picture a
- Have students work in pairs to

3.Point and say (15

To give students a chance to practise saying Hello/ Hi I’m + (name) and responding to the greeting
Teaching new model sentence:
- Set the scene:
+ Look at the picture a again. + What does Mai say to Nam? + Then, what does Nam say to Mai?
- Explain new model sentence: to greet others and introduce yourself, you say: Hello/ Hi I’m + name or Hello/ Hi I am + name.
- Write the new model sentence on the board and explain the full form and short form
- Ask the whole class say the new model sentence aloud
- Ask each team say the new model sentence aloud
- Call some students to say the new model sentence aloud - Correct the pronounciation and
intonation if necessary - Give star for good

Practice new model sentence:
- Hello/ Hi I’m + name
- Hello/ Hi I am + name
