- Point to the cat phonics card and say: /c/ + Then say: /c/ - cat
+ Put the card up on the board + action and say: /c/ , cat
+ Follow the same procedure with the words apple, alligator
- Use a card with letter Cc to introduce to the

- Ask Ss repeat several times and check Ss’ pronunciation letter Cc /si:/ and its sound /c/ - Use the phonics cards with cat, carrot,clock read the words out loud and ask Ss to repeat - Use gestures to help Ss to understand the meanings of the three words
- check Ss’ understanding: T say the words - call some Ss to say the words out loud and correct their mistakes

2.Listen and point Choose (Track 15): Read the words with “Please!” (10’)
- Have students look at the book and listen to the words: a pen, a panda, a parrot
- Have students listen and repeat the words for several times
- Ask the students to look at the pairs of pictures on the side
- Choose the correct one for each corresponding item in the picture
- Go around the classroom asking the students to name the item they are matching
