UNIT 10: WHERE WERE YOU YESTERDAY?

Lesson 3: (1, 2, 3)

I Objectives:

- By the end of the lesson, students can ask and answer questions what someone did in the past, using : What did he/ she yesterday ? He/She+ verb-ed

- Help students to pronounce the sounds of the letters ed /d/, ed /t/ and ed /id/ in the words played, watched and painted respectively

II Languages focus: Revision:

1 Vocabulary:

2 Sentence patterns: A: What did he/ she yesterday?

B: He/ She + verb-ed

III Resources: student’s book, CD, pictures, cassette Procedure

1 Warm-up Check up 7ms

- Spend a few minutes revising the previous lesson by calling a group of three students to the front of the class to play the game Pelmanism with activities in the present and past tense

- Write the letters ed/d/, ed/t/ and ed/id/on the board

- Present the sounds: ed/d/, ed/t/ and ed/id/ - Play the recording and ask Ss to repeat a few

times

- Write the words played, watched and painted and sentences in the book on the board

I Objectives:

- Help students to read the text to get information to complete the blanks - Students can write a short paragraph about what they did yesterday

- Students will interview some classmates to get information about where he/she was and what he/she did last weekend and report to the class
