The aims. - To provide students know some vocabulary and a dialogue between Nga and her grandma about the past. - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to use the simple past tense to talk about things in the past. 2. Teaching points. - Past simple tense. - "used to" to talk about the past habit. 3. Preparation. a. Teacher. - English books, posters, stereo, tape, cue. b. Students. - Books, notebooks. II. Procedures 1. Organization. (2) - Greetings. 2. Warm up. (3) - Ask students to look at the picture on page 38, tell the names of the things that do not belong to the past. - Get feedback from students. 3. New lesson. Ask students to look at two pictures on the board, in three minutes students in each teams come to the board and write as many words and phrase words about the difference between picture in the past and picture at present. - Get feedback from students. c. While speaking. - Asks the students to look at the pictures and talk about the way things "used to be" and the way they are now in groups. - Teacher goes round, corrects the mistakes. - Get feedback from students by asking them to stand up and tell sentences.
