Today, with the development of national industrialization and modernization, English has become one of the key bring major cultural and economic values to Vietnamese Companies. This has resulted in improving relationships of many companies in Vietnam with many foreign companies . As an Englishmajored student of Thuong Mai University, I have an opportunity to study and work at Langmaster International JSC for my internship course. the company Each branches has their own training department to control all of work Training Department is a functional unit advising and assisting the General Director in organizing and managing specific training on a number of aspects: Advise to plan training development strategies Develop regulations and documents for training organization and management Organize the construction and management of training programs and teaching and learning material Develop and manage teaching and learning plans Monitor the process of teaching, learning and learning results Manage printing, intern at the Training Department This is an opportunity for me to experience the real working environment, learn and familiarize myself with the business of establishing relationships with other parts of the company Specifically, I was responsible for the following tasks: Week 1: (from 31/12/2018 to 05/01/2019) Greeting, getting to know the staff of the company as well as presenting the General manager of the company and Training Department Learn about the information of the company Understand and comply with the rules and regulations of the company Observe, learn how to work with other co- workers Learn how to respond emails and reply Week 2: (from 07/01/2019 to 12/1/2019) Organize a TOEIC test for coaches and evaluate coaches skills Arrange new classes for coaches and check information Check faults of coaches every week and send email to remind Prepare content for an English video Send emails for trainers and coaches about a new course Week 3: (from 14/01/2019 to volunteer with co- workers in at a pagoda in Ha Nam 2.2 The difficulties and experiences in internship process in Training Department of Langmaster International JSC 2.2.1 The Difficulties Training Department is an important part of the company, , the use of English must be accurate and proficient However , I encountered some difficulties such as: I am a student who has learned basic knowledge of translation and interpreting and communication but because of lack of experience as well as practical skills, therefore when working in professional environment, I must attempt to learn a lot to get acquainted with the work that requires high flexibility Due to the specific of Training Department, it is necessary to communicate with some foreign teachers, so sometimes it is difficult for me because of language barrier and different culture in order to understand them Sometimes I still have difficulty with difficult technical terms and abbreviations, how to the work assigned is sometimes confused because of the lack of experience 2.2.2 The Experiences: Over one month internship process in Training Department at Langmaster International JSC, I drawn a lot of experience and skills related to the major: Used the skills learned at university (writing email, speaking English,) on the job Learn more about communication skill applied in practice Improve typing documents and office computer skills Being contacted and exchanged with foreign teachers Become familiar with the modern, dynamic, professional, and regular environment of company PART 3: THE REALLITY OF THE USE OF ENGLISH IN LANGMASTER INTERNATIONAL JSC 3.1 The use of English in Langmaster International JSC As a company operates in English Education, as well as other company, Langmaster International JSC have to work with many partners from many countries using different languages, including English English is major foreign language used mainly at the company According to the recruitment process of Langmaster International JSC, it focuses on the work of the interview through English, checks the qualifications related to English Most staffs have quite good English, use English fluently In daily transactions, English is also widely used at Langmaster International JSC and mainly deals with foreign partners and teachers These transactions are primarily related to reply for foreign teachers Staffs’ English proficiency of workers is very high In addition, English is also used frequently in business correspondence, emails between the company and foreign partners Staffs in the departments who not specialize in English such as the Department of Finance, Marketing, HR have to be good at English skills Staffs in these departments are recruited to the company have to check English proficiency To this, the company has a team of qualified English-speaking staff who can be used for overseas business as well as for exchanges with foreign teachers Besides the good aspects, the use of English at Langmaster still encounter many limitations: They have no maximum exploitation of the potential of staffs in using English in some departments such as finance – accounting, HR, Marketing – sales, etc Most of staffs are not able to master specialized English In fact, they have no capacity to use English professional in Office Many employees in some departments such as Sale , Finance department and cannot use English sometimes causing some terrible problems when they want to solve problems with the students or others There are some people speak English a little bit because their work not require using English 3.2 Some solutions to improve the use of English in the working environment They should take part in some regular training programs of specialized English for the entire staffs which is organized by the company, especially new staffs in the company Putting stress on operating and using English in the work of some divisions such as Finance, Human Resources and Sales – Marketing Training English is important task for company More importantly, the process of recruiting, interviewing should have clear procedures and details to accurately evaluate English ability of staffs, especially the reception division They must have the rewarding policy, increasing the wages for employees who have the good qualifications and ability to use English well in the workplace This policy is aimed at motivating and encouraging employees to work and improve professional English It is important to create more opportunities for staffs from the departments to interact directly with foreign teachers or partners , specially, professors coming other countries in the trading activities in order to increase the reflectivity of English to staffs in terms of English listening skill from many different countries for employees PART 4: SUGGESTION FOR THE SUBJECT OF GRADUATION THESIS Nowadays, English has become an important part of not only students but also entrepreneurs It is the key to open the door to discover , give chances to study aboard , get high salary in Viet Nam companies or oversea , exploiting new markets and seeking foreign investors and production scale As an English Training company, as well as others company, everyday, Langmaster International JSC has to work with partners comming from many countries using different languages, including English English is the most language that is used in the company But most of the staff at the company is fluent in English, however, only in non-professional English English majority of almost the company staff is still weak Some of the senior staff in the company have poor English skills, which is a barrier to dealing with foreign teachers or partners Many staffs work in sale , marketing and finance not know English, which sometimes makes it difficult for them to deal with specialized issues with clients Therefore, through one-month internship at Training Department in Langmaster International JSC, specially , I also deal with student’s problems and I understand the difficulties of learning English I have a desire to propose a research subject for graduation thesis: "A research on problems in speaking English of students at Langmaster International JSC” I sincerely hope my teachers consider and help me in the process of doing the thesis CONCLUSION The core value of Langmaster international
