Organizational behavior (OB) is the academic study of the ways people act within groups. Its principles are applied primarily in attempts to make businesses operate more effectively.

STAGES OF TEAM DEVELOPMENT Stage in team development STORMING Group: Tran Hoan My Le Ngoc Tuong Vy Tran Thi Phuong Thao Nguyen Truong Gia Minh Pham Ngoc Phuong Quyen  Storming often starts where there is a conflict between team member’s natural working styles or a disagreement of opinion or values • Work differently, but this can sometimes cause personalities to clash and affect how a team works • Become increasingly frustrated and lose motivation • Although conflict resolution is often the goal of work teams during the storming stage, conflict management is generally what is achieved  Storming behaviors include: • Resisting opinions and improvements suggested by others • Negative mind set and attitude • Arguments amongst team members • Questioning the teams goal and resistance  Become extremely destructive and will lower motivation if allowed by the team leader to get out of control  Make a team stronger, more versatile Introduce  An – A New Employee in ABC  As a new one, she always tries her best, learns from other colleagues Introduce  Chi – An Old Employee in ABC  She has good relationships with colleagues, and gets on well with superior Relationships of An and Chi  An works in same department with Chi  Chi’s very friendly, and takes care of An  They have a good relations with others because they’re fellow-countryman and have same hobbies Conflict  In Chi’s presentation at a meeting, An gives an opposite opinion with Chi’s ideas and gets supports, compliment from everyone include authorities Conflict  Chi feels very angry and jealous  Chi talks bad things about An with everyone in company Conflict  Manager gives them a new work to assess their professional competences and identify the best worker in next quarter The deadline is month Conflict  While An is working hard for her proposal, Chi intends to steal An’s planning for herself Besides, Chi also fixes some incorrect data in An’s documents Conflict  After month, they give their work for the superior An does not check her work again before giving to the manager Besides, Chi is confident with her work Conflict  When announcing the result, Chi receives compliment about her work Phuong realizes that Chi’s proposal belongs to her, and someone else has fixed hers  They argue that good proposal belongs to them If you are the manager, what would you do?
