Objectives By the end of the lesson, students will be able to learn some nouns and adjectives to talk about parts of the body. II. Language contents 1.Grammar: - The present simple tense - Adjectives 2. Vocabulary: head, chest, shouder(s), leg(s), arm, hand, finger, foot ( feet ), toe, tall, short, fat , thin, heavy, light. III. Techniques: pair work, rub out and remember, chatting. IV. Teaching aids: pictures, cassette, flash card, sub-board. V. Procedures Teacher and Ss’ activities Contents 1. Warm up: Chatting ( 5’ ) T and Ss talk about the body T: introduces new lesson. 2. New lesson a. Presentation ( 15’ ) T: Uses the picture to introduce parts of the body. Then plays the tape one time. Ss : look at the picture and listen to the tape. Ss: find out new words. Then guess the meaning and take note. Ss : listen and repeat. Then practice. T: controls and corrects their mistakes. * Check: Rub out and remember T: Labels the picture. - Rub out and remember the labels - Get Ss to re-label the picture Ss: do task. T: controls and corrects their mistakes. 1. Objectives By the end of the lesson, students will be able to practice listening skill and the describing of the body. II. Language contents 1. Grammar: The present simple tense. 2. Vocabulary: gymnast, weght lifter. III. Techniques: pair work, hang man. IV. Teaching aids: pictures, cassette, sub-board. V. Procedures Teacher and Ss’ activities Contents 1. Warm up ( 6’ ) T: asks Ss to write new words. Ss: write on the board. Ss: comment. T: corrects and gives marks. Then introduces new lesson. 2. New lesson a. Presentation ( 15’ ) * T: sets the situation and guides the way to listen. Ss: look at the pictures and guess the contents. * T: plays the tape each picture two times. Ss: listen and find out the right picture. * 1S: writes on the board. Ss: comment. T: corrects their mistakes. Ss: listen the last time and check. Then take note. Tape transcript 1. Objectives By the end of the lesson, students will be able to learn new words (nouns and adjectives) to describe faces. II. Language contents 1. Grammar: adjective 2. Vocabulary: eye, ear, lip, nose, hair, mouth. III. Techniques: pelmanism, rub out and remember, wordsquare. IV. Teaching aids: pictures, flash card, sub-board. V. Procedure Teacher and Ss’ activities Contents 1. Warm-up ( 5’ ) T: Has Ss play game “pelmanism” Ss: do as directed. T: comments and introduces new lesson. 2. New lesson a. Presentation ( 20’ ) T: Sets the situation and draws a face on the board , point each detail on the face and mark the name of each detail Ss: Look at the picture drawn on the board and guess the meaning. Then take note. Ss: listen and repeat. Then practice. T: controls and corrects their mistakes. Check vocabulary T: asks some students go to the board, point to the details and say the name of each detail, then erase the words and ask some others to redo. Ss: do as request. Teaching aids: pictures, flash card, sub-board, charts of colors. V. Procedures T and Ss’ activities Contents 1. Warm-up ( 5’ ) T: gives “jumble words” Ss: play the game. T: controls and corrects their mistakes. Then gives marks. 2. New lesson a. Presentation ( 15’ ) T: sets the situation and plays the tape one time. Ss: listen and take note new words. Warm-up ( 10’ ) T: asks Ss to give new words ( colors ) Ss: write on the board. T: hangs some pictures on the board and asks Ss to describe the body and ask - answer the feature of the face. Ss: ask answer in pairs. T: correcst and gives marks. Then introduces new lesson. 2. New lesson a. Pre-listening ( 8’ ) T: sets the situation and hangs the pictures. Then guides the way to listen. Ss: discribe four people as they see( guessing ) T: corrects their mistakes. b. while-listening ( 7’ ) T: plays each person 3 times. Ss: listen and write the letter of the pictures.
