Redundant materials and discharged waste - Domestic waste of workers joining in construction 1.31.2 Exhaust fumes Exhaust fumes is the primary pollution source toward the atmosphere, exhaust fumes can be emissed from construction activities from period of preparing supllies materials to pulling out works in execution termination period Exhaust fumes is mainly emissed due to operation of machines, means for transporting tools, materials, equipments serving for construction 1.31.3 Liquid waste - Liquid waste directly affects on environmental hygience in construction area of villa sector, influencing on adjacent environment Liquid waste of project includes waste water from construction process, domestic waste water of workers and rainy water - Water is only used in material mixing process and wall watering, land watering to keep wet and restrict dust distribution into surrounding environment Waster water from construction, only includes inert substances such as soil, sand, not contain organic substance content, polluted matters absorbing into land - Domestic waste water of workers in construction period is just a little, mainly water for bathing and other hygience activity because during construction process, almost workers not stay, there are one or two people staying for material protection - Rain-water runs off, sweeps pollutant from construction area to adjacent areas However, project had ground water drainage system for water collection, therefore can control waste source and treat polluted water before discharging to outside 1.31.4 Noise - Cause direct affect on nervous system, reduce concentration ability and reduce working productivity Noise can be borned from following streets but must be controlled and maintained from 80 – 85dBA based on regulated standard, noise can be borned from sources: - Engine, machine for construction, equipments for construction, installment - During working process such knolling, welding metal part, and iron horning frame… and process of building, opening coppha, scoffold, supplies transport… - Engine of compressor, pump, power generator… 1.31.5 Dust and smoke When content of dust and smoke exceed allowed limitation will cause respiratory diseases, reduce working ability of workers Dust and smoke are borned from: - Material transport, material collection, and material falling at construction site - Material collection heap - Activities of digging, filling 27 PROJECT: THIEN THANH PARK - Construction process: materials supplies mixing process, coppha building and opening process… 1.31.6 Environmental impact level  Effect to air quality: Air quality of construction area will be changed due to project construction process However, in two periods when constructing and opening work fro termination, dust smoke and exhaust fumes are the most noticeable factors Exhaust fumes are emissed from engines, machines are mainly NOx, CO, CO2, SO2 Amount of exhaust fumes emissed from kinds of machines met technical standard is unimportant, in outdoor smooth working environment condition, direct affect toward people is unremarkable However, when content is high, it will become factor cause pollution for people and environment such as: SO2 can be dissolved in water, thus easy to interact with respiratory organs of people and animals  Effect to surface water quality Construction can cuase much affect to surface water quality Due to recieving waste water amount from construction process having high polluted substances including chemicals such as oil felt from engines, machines during operation construction process, domestic waste water of workers on the farms… also cause pollution for surface water source  Effect to transportation Activities of means of transportation serving for construction installment will increase traffic density in street lines moving into area, bring dust, sand from work site, causing bad impact to road quality, reduce quality of these streets rapidly  Effect to public health Polluted air will directly influence to health of worker force as well as whole resident community Cuase respiratory allergic diseases, eye inflammation… Noise caused from process of construction and construction opening for activity termination Noise pollution directly impact on worker at the site and households living nearby the project area Noise will cause stress, repression, decrease working productivity, disorder daily life of citizen On the other hand, when noise exceeds allowed limitation and lengthens, it will cause affect on the hearing organ 1.32 Solution for negative affect on the environment 1.32.1 Minimize waste amount During project execution process, waste emission is unavoidable However, by suitable technological engineering methods together with tight management method at each part can minimize amount of araised waste Methods to minimize araised waste: Estimate correctly mass of supplies materials serving for construction, minimize redundant amount after construction Select place for suitable supplies materials gathering, located at the end of wind direction and above high land ground to avoid broken and loss case when not used yet 28 PROJECT: THIEN THANH PARK Propose methods to minimize dust smoke and waste water araised during construction process 1.32.2 Gather and treat waste Waste collection and treatment when discharged into the environment is a compulsory condition toward construction area In this project, waste collection and treatment must be done since starting construction until handling over house and opening process for termination to avoid affect to station’s activity and environment of surrounding area Collection and treatment must be clarified based on the following kinds of waste: - Solid waste This is kind of solid most araised during construction including soil, rock, paper, towel,… is a waste kind difficult to be decomposed, must be collected, classified to have suitable treatment method Abundant amount of supples materials which can be used again are classified and placed area convenient for reusing and selling waste Kinds of garbage difficult to decompose or poisonous must be collected and placed far away from construction site, so that affect on people and environment is minimum to transport to treatment place as regulated Means of transporting soil, rock are forced to use covers, minimize falling on the street, affecting on circulating people and guarantee beautiful clean environment - Exhaust fumes Directly borned during construction process from mechanical engines, transportation mean, must have solution to reduce exhaust fumes into the environment, methods can be used are: Toward transportation mean, construction machines, and other engines, it is necessary to use kind of fuel which can be fired absolutely, low oxygen content exhaust fume Use engines, machines which are new, meet standard and are certified no harm to the environment Usually check works to prevent, overcome problems on time - Liquid waste Liquid waste araised during construction process will be collected into available waste water treatment system disposed around villa area Waste water containing pollutant will be gathered and transferred to treatment unit, polluted water will be directly discharged following surface water drainage system - Noise Prepare fully protection equipment for workers during construction, arrange work reasonably and scientifically so that level of effect to workers who work in construction area and adjacent area is minimum Check and maintain periodically machines, equipment Normally maintaining circle toward new equipment is 4-6 months/ time, old equipment is months/ time 29 PROJECT: THIEN THANH PARK Dispose separately sources causing noise with surrounding area to reduce spreading speed of sound wave For subdivision to be able to gain higher effect, need to isolate and dispose additionally wall between parts Plant green tree to create shade, limit noise spreaded into the environment Limit activity at night - Dust and smoke During construction, dust and smoke are factors causing the most impact om workers, they directly affect on worker’s health, cause respiratory diseases, eye inflammation… decrease working ability To overcome that pollution, need to perform following solutions: Use supplies materials which cause least harm, transport equipment must be covered carefully, avoid being falling Usually wash truck to avoid araising dust, soil, sand in urban area Use protection equipment for worker when working in polluted dust and smoke status poison prevention mask, eye-protection glasses… Enhance to plant green tree at empty land areas around project construction area 1.33 Conclusion Based on environmental impact assessment above, we can see that project execution process can cuase impact on the environment around project area and adjacent area at low level, not cause much impact on the environment, they are only small short-term impact, there has no long-term impact 30 PROJECT: THIEN THANH PARK CHAPTER VIII : TOTAL AMOUNT FOR PROJECT INVESTMENT 1.34 Content of total investment amount Purpose of total amount of investment is to calculate total cost for construction of “THIEN THANH PARK”,make basis to plan and control investment capital, define investment effect of project Total investment amount of project is VND264.300.000.000 (Two hundred sixty four billion, three hundred million dong), includes: Factory, machine, equipment construction investment, cost of construction investment, compensation cost of filling site, cost of project management, spare fee, mobile capital Total investment amount T NO I ITEM ITECHNICAL INFRASTRUCTURE PART Value (USD) 41,192.00 1,915,906.98 -
