(Lesson 2) Grammar I Objective: * By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: - Recognizing the difference between singular and plural nouns, - Writing and speaking skills II Language content: Vocabulary: Body parts – arms, nose, face, legs, ears ADDITIONAL VOCABULARY Structure: This is… These are… III Method of teaching Focus: Writing – Speaking IV Teaching aid - My body flashcards 38-42 V Procedure Warm up:  Play Word Chain Place the flashcards on the board in a row Point to a child and s/he says the first word in the sequence (i.e arms) Point to another child and s/he says the next word Continue with each child saying the next word in the sequence Remove one flashcard after another while the children repeat the sequence from memory Elicit the target structures again by pointing to different parts of your body Children will say This is (my nose), These are (my legs) Development: Exercise 1: Children the exercise, counting and circling the body parts They check with a partner before checking as a whole class Exercise 2: Students the exercise Ask the class to chorally repeat the language once the exercise is finished Consolidation: Game: What’s the Picture?
