Period 82 Week 21 UNIT Billy’s teddy! (lesson 3) Song I Objective: * By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: - Identifying family members, - Listening and speaking skills II Language content: Vocabulary: Aunt, Uncle, Cousin ADDITIONAL VOCABULARY: Love (n), Lots of Structure: III Method of teaching Focus: Speaking – Writing IV Teaching aid - My family flashcards 62-67 - Extra Practical Classroom Activities: Song worksheet - Hello flashcards 1-3 V Procedure - CD tracks 65-67 Warm up: Use flashcards 66-67 to introduce the two new words, aunt and uncle Hold up each one and say the words for children to repeat Stick the flashcards on the board and elicit the spelling from the class Write the words on the board under each card Development: Recording 65: Ask children to look at the pictures and play the first and second parts of the recording as children point to the words Play again for children to repeat the words after the audio Recording 66: Either use the song worksheet (without opening the Class Book) where children listen and fill in the correct words, or Exercise in the Class Book After either activity, ask children to sing along with the CD and then sing together without the CD audio Sing and do: Tell children they are going to sing the song again, but this time they are going to some actions as they listen and sing Decide with the class what actions they will (e.g mum and dad, raise thumbs, sister and brother, raise index fingers, grandma and grandpa, raise middle fingers, aunt and uncle, raise ring fingers, and cousins, raise little fingers) Consolidation:  Song extension: assign family words to different children, i.e some boys are dads, grandpas, uncles and brothers; some girls are mums, grandmas, aunts and sisters Play or sing the song again and children stand up when they hear their word Homework: * Prepare: Unit lesson (cont) VI Comment: ……………………………………………………………………………………… ……………………………………………………………………………………… ……………………………………………………………………………………… ...
