READING

A Aims: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to :

- understand the passage

- scan for specific information

- guess the meaning in context

- remember some events about Asian games

B Teaching aids: Poster, textbook, chalk, board, slide, handout

C Procedure:

Activity : Game “Guessing”

Instruction: “I would like to divide the class

into 2 teams I need one person from each team

to come here Each of you will receive 5 pictures

with 5 words related to SPORTS Your task is to

try to describe these words to your own team in

20 seconds by using body language Don’t use

words The team with the most right answers

will be the winner.”

Pictures:

Badminton Basketball

- T greets the whole class

- T checks up the attendance

- T divides the class into 2 teams Each team chooses one

representatives

- Each representative receives 5 pictures and describes them to his/her teammates in 20 seconds

Summarize the main point of the passage in a

number related to the Asian Games from the reading passage The students have to give the exact information about that number in 15 seconds The group with more correct answers will win.”
