Unit 5: THINGS I DO (A5-6) I . OBJECTIVES Help the students to talk about things that they do everyday and some games. II . LANGUAGE CONTENTS : - Grammar: Simple present tense : Yes/no-question with ordinary verb. - Vocabulary: play, volleyball, soccer, sports. III . TECHNIQUES:group works, pair works, ask and answer. IV . TEACHING AIDS :: Pictures page 54, 55 and cassete .V. PROCEDURES : I Warm up and Revision: 1. Warm up :Greetings 2. Check up : (5’) Give the correct answer a. Every morning, Lan (get) up at 6.oo. (get/ get) b. He (brush) his teeth every morning (brushes/ brushs) c. Hoa (go) to school by bus everyday (go/goes) d. Mai (get) dressed at 6.0 every morning (gets/get) - Ask 2 Ss to go to the board to do - T.WC correct and give marks 3. New lesson: Teacher and students’ activities Contents T 1.Presentation + Pre teach: Vocab - using some techniques for eliciting new Vocab (pictures, explanation, realia) - Ss read the Voacab chorally then individually + Checking Vocab: R.O.R + Presentation dialogue(A 5 /P.54) - T.sets the scene: + Shows the picture on P.54 and says. This is Ba and this is Lan. They are talking to each other Ba wants to know what Lan and their friends do after school. Now, listen to me tell me what they do after school Unit 5: THINGS I DO (A5-6) I.Vocabulary - (to) play volleyball: chơi bòng chuyền -(to) play soccer: chơi bóng đá football - (to) play sports: chơi thể thao - A girl # a boy: bạn nữ # nam II.Dialogue * Model sentences Do you/they play soccer? Does he/she play soccer? 5’ 10’ - Ask Ss to listen to the dialogue(twice) - Ss play the role of Ba and Lan to read gain - Elicit form the students to give the model sentences - Ss read the model sentences in chorus, then in pairs - Concept check: - +Meaning: Ask Ss to translate in to Vietnamese + From: Ss give the form + Use: When do we use this form? +Pro 2. Practice - Ask Ss to read the dialogue again and complete the table - Ss work in pairs to do - Call on some Ss to give Yes, I/we/they do He/she does  From Do/Does +S+ V( bare- inf) /? Yes, S+ do/does No, S+ don’t/doesn’t  Use: Hỏi đoán xem bạn mình hoặc 1 ngời nào đó có làm 1 việc gì đó hay không? III. Practice 1.
