Objectives: - By the end of the lesson, Ss can understand the content of the lesson about the traditional festivals. * Contents: - Vocab: Pottery, fetch, yell, urge, rub, bamboo, separate, husk, judge, council, grand prize. - G:rammar Review passive. II. Teaching aids: - book, chalk, tape, cassette. III. Teaching procedure: A. Class- organization(1’) * Greeting: * Checking attendance: 8A 8B B.New lesson:. Teacher s activities’ Contents 1. Warm up(5 )’ - Write structures and make sentences with past progressive tense. - T guides Ss how to do exercise - Gives some newwords - T asks some yes/no questions Eg: Should Tom go to Vung Tau? Why? - Asks Ss to work in pairs - Some Ss read before class 2. Presentation(10 )’ . - Show the picture on the board and then: - Asks Ss some questions: + What festivals do you know? + What festival is in this picture? + Can you tell me something you know about the rice-cooking festival? -T introduces the content of the dialogue - Plays the tape. - Ss listen and find new words. - - Explain some newwords - Guides Ss to read new words. Objectives : - By the end of the lesson: Ss can talk about the preparations for some festivals. - Listen and get information to fill in the gaps. II. Teaching aids: - book, chalk, tape, cassette. III. Teaching procedure: A. Class- organization(1’) * Greeting: * Checking attendance: 8A 8B B.New lesson:. Teacher s activities’ Contents I, Warm up(5 )’ . - Write new words which concern the topic “rice-cooking festival” - Introduce the lesson 2. Everybody can take part in this festival.
