1.1 Pur poses of r epor t:

Practical training or internship is a combination of academic theories and practical application to promote the professional skills of students and to provide students opportunities to get acquainted with their possible future workplaces and occupational characteristics Simultaneously, the practical training can nurture the students' correct work attitude, service techniques, and increase their self-confidence In view of that I decided to do internship

to get experiences at Hoa Binh 1 Hotel - Restaurant, prior to my graduation and then took challenges and opinions at work back to the school for this report

Accordingly, in order to collect the data for this report I implemented several kinds of research instruments, including taking observation, recording by internship diary, referring to hotel document, reading English restaurant books, and searching internet for further study

The results of this report would give an overview of the internship company

as well as internship activities Firstly, this report would describe some general information about location, organization chart, staff members and business operations of the company Then, internship activities of the report would be presented specifically through the process of practicing together with learning in the internship company and an assessment of the internship Finally, to promote the quality of job training in the following years this report would lastly offer several practical and crucial recommendations for particular persons of An Giang University, Department of Foreign Language and English majored students as well as for the internship company
